  1. Paddy Kenny is off to Leeds so is KS going to be happy as second choice?
  2. I think at his age, he is stepping up his preseason training... usually it's a jog without carrying an object.
  3. I would be interested if repairable. I had a couple go a few years ago and had the replaced. Another gone last year and I'm waiting to replace it.
  4. I also see 20, not sure whether there are coaches included in that shot (no sign of the master magician). But still as Bournemouth found out when they had an embargo one of their coaches had to come out of retirement to help out on the playing side!
  5. My wife got her back up laptop for £900 for her business, saving £600 doing it that way.
  6. Have they improved the battery life and portability of them?
  7. I've had a Sony, HP and dell. But the most reliable and longest serving laptop is a mac book. It maybe a bit more expensive when considering purchase price but value for money it was the best. The considerations are if you think you can change over to a new OS, what you want it for suits your needs and not be swayed by the pro or anti brand brigade.
  8. Aston Villa are playing three games in the US where the football season is still on before the friendlies back in England. A good test against season fit opposition before coming back home and matches close at home.
  9. Whoosh!
  10. Are those two statements mutually exclusive of each other? I though Westwood or TCWOAB couldn't sign due to lack of funds and the transfer embargo is relevant for signing players?
  11. He backed the wrong horse - that was Brazillian Soccer Skills.
  12. Read an interesting article on futsal where the FA are finally backing it's use at grassroot level for the development of kids. The national youth futsal final took place last weekend where the Saints (from East Hull) played a Reading side. It's catching on at professional clubs, so do Saints play futsal to help technical development of players? Does anyone have any experience of it? Article found here
  13. Yes, not a keeper to be seen in that lot! ...and yes Sam Gallagher did come from Plymouth Argyle.
  14. Get well soon and keep off the crisps ;-)
  15. I'm not sure that is the case, more of generalisations and miss information. You are right though in enjoying the games, which I will!
  16. All the best Whitley. When I started working 20 years ago my landlord back then had one and he's still going strong!
  17. In the US, the average calorie in taken has risen by 28% over 30 years.
  18. It's been shown that kids are just as active now as they were 20 odd years ago. It's down to the cr@p diet and too much sugar.
  19. So they must have filed some accounts at the FL... Something PFC hasn't done since summer '09 if I remember correctly!
  20. I think things have moved on in a few ways; the infrastructure to the training ground and academy with the hugh financial investment there needs to be some sort of return. The management organisation with a clear line from academy to first team and the culture/environment of the club where I'd say players want to be. So I'd say the club is doing all it can to make players stay bar offering a huge salary and champions league football.
  21. So is it the time warp, a deloren, groundhog or the time tunnel thats got me here but I've a feeling I been here before!
  22. E.g. Product is low in fat, therefore healthy and as such I can have twice as much ;-)
  23. You should catch up on the series: The men who made us fat. Very interesting stuff on how its a clash of human instinct and food companies creating new markets with a dash of dietary responsibilities. 1 in 3 are obese in the US and 1 in 4 in the UK.
  24. What's with quantity over quality, that somehow doesn't sit right on this thread!
  25. The trouble is the first option is open to abuse, depending on what is left of the PPs to purchase reasonable or superior players for league one. Otherwise they have to adhere to the 65% rule in league one.
