The stadium is a seperate company though and SFC will have to rent it off of either the mortage holder or who ever buys it. If our new owner also buys it and at a knock down price then we have gained an advantage but thats life and it doesnt matter if you go into admin to make it happen or take advantage of someone who cant keep up with there payments.

We dont get a new club, we get a fresh start, without the baggage of the past several years. We wont be subsidised by anyone other than our owner who will still have to pay rent for use of the stadium or pay wages of our wonderful players. We will get league member ship that we were relegated too so there will be no promotion party until at least next year. If all parties can agree that the -10 is the maximum punnishment and we can move on then I will be happy. I couldnt give a stuff if the league have to then fight with Luton or Leeds as we got away with less than they did blah blah blah. I just want us to have a club to support and will be happy if all parties can agree on something.

As you know MLT can you tell him that while visiting southampton a few years back I saw him while walking through West Quay. I tried to point him out to my kids who were just 2 and 3 and just looked blank at me. I had to ground them for 6 years for not knowing who he was despite all the training I had previously put on them. Now they have hust seen sunlight again they dont get on with other kids and squint allot in all this nice weather. Can he send me a signed ball or shirt or just hurry up and make saints fc great again. thank you please

I think there are 2 sides to this. On 1 the players should share some of the blame for the mess we are in. They under performed and made costly mistakes. Had this not been the case we could have concievably had higher gates and avoided Administration. So while there moral is low due to not being paid, they should be appologiesing to all the other staff that are also not being paid and probably have less resources to cope with the lack of funds. On the other hand if the worst happens and the club folds all of our current players will no doubtedly get employment in football at a number of other clubs up and down the leagues which will make them feel allot better and moral will return. Same as if the best happens and we see a flood of optimism return to the city and club as we prepare for promotion upon premotion. So I dont really feel too sorry for the players, but the surrounding staff at SMS will be the ones that will suffer so of anyone we should be thinking of them. As it stands now though we are still more likly to be taken over at some point which in turn we hope will make the whole admin process worth while. I wouldnt bother asking those who wanted admin if they are happy about it unless the club fold completly and all the staff are out of work. I just think its getting less and less likly that will happen so no need to be so down.

Fluck me you didnt mention Lowe! ...... YOU feeling ........ ALLright????????
-
its a private members club and to gain entry they can set any rules they wish. but compare it to anything else in the real world like say to keep a job and you would have a case for constructive dismissal. so while legally we dont really have a leg to stand on people cant be blamed for feeling like we are getting stuffed both legally and morally

So nothing new from what we have heard today then? I guess we will find out tomorrow sometime if the FL have dropped the right to appeal BS or not. But it also sounds like that is the only sticking point which must be a bonus?

midget clown p0rn is even better so im told

I think its a collection of things. Pinnacle want the right to appeal, i dont think it matters if they do or not but the FL trying to take it away just causes people to think they are trying to cover something up which might make it worth appealing. The league have treated us as if we are in admin and as such we would have to abide by many different rules to prove we are out of it and have made everyone happy. As we are not officially happy we can realisticly keep to the requests that the league are bound to ask as set by there own rules. The league dont want to back down and say we were not in admin as that would mean they dont dish out the points penalty which in turn would open up legal battles with several other clubs. But we dont want to back down as we down want to recieve further punishment for things that are obviously not the case. The way out it seems is for the FL to create a set of rules to cover our situation and Pinnacle will need to agree to them. This in turn would close the loop hole in the system and cover the FL for future issues like this and it would put a halt on any previous clubs wanting to take action. I can see us getting the -10 points but no further action if the FL pull there finger out but the longer it goes on the more Pinnacle will want to dig there heels in and fight it. The league need to get the rules sorted and loop holes closed ASAP.

I get the feeling you dont like the idea of this deal GM lol Its frustrating not knowing the ins and outs of the deal and who is involved but my guess is TL wouldnt have got as far as he has with this supposed takeover if he hadnt proved that he has the authority to speak on behalf of the prospective new owner. If your right in that Pinnacle have bugger all funds themselves then we can only assume that the deposit of 500k plus what ever extra is meant to have been paid for the Ajax game must have come from someone else. So it would appear that there is financial backing and it must have proved that there is enough backing to complete the takeover. I think the issues are not about money but more about the league and its implimentation of dodgy rules. if the takeover eventually happens I will wait and see if it brings people who can take the club forward or if its more of what we have been used to in the past. I am hoping its more possitive than negative though.

Wasnt that one of the problems with the previous incumbant? i think the odd statement on here or various mediums is a nice touch and long may it continue. I would be more worried if he got into banter and name calling which is the usual stance for many on here but as it is I think its a plus point.

Who is this Lowe that you speak of?
-
Im not Stanley and I havent shouted you down but I want to know why you need to use so many Capitol letters and Full Stops? Thank you please
-
he seems to have done OK for himself. That kind of money wouldnt get a team to the top of the league in the prem but it should get us back to the prem without making much of a dent on his bank ballence. if he is the guy of course
-
Fair enough they new the -10 was there but they also undersood that there would be the right to appeal. the club think they have a good case to apeal so are planning too. when they get to the take over point the league ask them to sign over there right to appeal in exchange for the ticket that enters them into the league. Doesnt look like Pinnacle are trying to back out TBH.

Trouble is there are supposed to be other parties that are interested and no doubt they will be paying a similar price to what pinnacle already had agreed. not much room for pinnacle to get the price down if thats the case. If the league were in the right there is no reason why they shouldnt allow an appeal. as it should just prove they made the right decission and we can all move on. it looks like they dont want egg on there face IMO -
It is a legal and moral right to have the right of appeal. its the process that allows to either correct an unjust decission or confirm a just one. If the league have been correct and just in there decission to give us a points deduction then an appeal should show that and they should have nothing to worry about. The only reason I can think of for them not allowing us an appeal is if they think they made the wrong decission in the fist place. That, if proved would open up all sorts of legal debates so I guess the league will either stand firm or look for a resolution that has no follow up legal action. If they stand firm I wonder if the club has the right to go to anyone else to take action against the league? In work it would be deemed as constructive dismissal and there is action that can be taken. In a private members club we might be stuffed though. So both parties think they have a winning hand and niether want to call.

This has probably been covered already but I would like to add that I think its good to see a few statements from people within the club on a message board. nothing cryptic but a few words here and there is refreshing IMO. Would be nice to hear from the club captain or more senior players too 1nce in a while. It might bridge the gap a little between club and fans. after all we always liked to think we were a family club that was in touch with the area. Well done Tony and through the various actions taken over the past few weeks/months I have started to believe things will eventually change for the better. -
But it will always be tomorrow
-
fair enough way of looking at it but I dont think there is an unfair advantage if we all start on 0 points. Just because we have an injection of money by someone buying us on the cheap doesnt give us any more advantage than Roman Abramovich buying Chelsea to make them the richest club in the world. There will always be clubs clubs with lots of money and other clubs with hardly any. If that was deemed the problem there would be wage caps and limits on spending accross the leagues. We have been badly run and managed one way or another and we are now in league 1 on our own merit. That kind of goes to show all clubs that even if you think you deserve to be in the top flight, you have to run things properly to stay there. If you dont you will sink like a stone and cant grumble about it. The league imposing further punishment on clubs that have done a fair job of stuffing things up themselves doesnt go anyway to addressing the real problems in teh game IMO

I am actually amazed at how little work i have got away with doing, If I knew I could turn up and press f5 all day and people still think I was working I would have done it ages ago! Hopefully from today onwards we can look forward to reading a few good news stories with our daily f5-a-thon's

50/50 for me at the min. On 1 hand I think the problems will get ironed out and -10 or legal issues or not Pinnacle are too far down the road to give up so we will get somewhere. However, There have been so many times over the past shed load of years where things should have gone one way or another but didnt I just cant see how things will be any different. I get the feeling that what ever we do, the FL will be co(ks and do what ever thay can to make an example of someone and I fear that they have chosen us. So things should get sorted out and we can look forward to a future but sods law says we will be the 1st to fold and have to enjoy both winning the league and getting relegated every year in the Super Duper League of 1 sponsered by Lord Malwancky.
