Quotes from Fialka “The reality is that there are a few issues with the Football League. We’ve had a bit of a standoff as we would only consider a deal if the penalty was 10 points rather than 15." “I need confirmation. Once it goes through then everyone will be happy.” Fialka revealed that, should the takeover go through, he would “end up with one third of the club and be the main director on a four-man board.” Not sure if that means a total of 15 or an extra 15 but at least it confirms that the issue is over more than -10 points. so the sporting sanctions is not just about the -10 after all.

I wasnt disagreeing with you. just commenting on what you said.

There is no transfer embargo on us so why wouldnt they? The administrator is in charge of the assets owned by SLH. If something needs to be sold to pay wages then the administrator will sell it. If there is nothing left to sell the administrator will shut the doors. Dont see what the FL can do about it
-
Splitting hairs but that wasnt a "quote" from the FL so how much is Echo spin and how much is fact? Did the Echo ask the FL is further points were being considered or did they ask if further points could be considered at a later date? If the extra points thing is the issue that Pinnacle were arguing about it could be that Pinnacle wanted a statement from the FL to say that further points would not be considered. Therefor sticking to the -10 and move on.
-
shame he has gone being a Saints supporter. I always hoped he would become a lesser version or MLT and stick with us throughout his career and our rise back up the leagues. Does his leaving reduce the price for SFC?
-
By the letter of the FL's rule book SFC is not in admin and therefor shouldnt have got the -10 points though. I dont think we dont deserve the -10 and think its bloody cheaky to try and get out of it on a technicality but rules are rules and the FL make them up as they go along.
-
MLT also had a snipe about the FL having a rule book but it was unlcear if they would ever follow it or not. He certainly feels the fault is with the league even if the final issue was pinnacle losing its money men. It will be interesting if anyone else does jump in now and the league leave things at the -10 points or impose further points. 15 mil and start on -10 is a bit of a kick but 15 mill and any more points deductions seems a stupid decission IMO and if the league state there will be more I guess buyers will want a cheaper deal from Fry.

They provided proof of funds originally. They spunked a 7 figure some of money on Legal teams and arguments. And they walked away with no chance of recouping that money. How many potless company's/people can afford to throw that kind of money around for nothing?
-
Like others have already said. Pinnacle provided proof of funds to get as far as they did. If the money men didnt like what was on offer and they pulled out then Pinnacle are left not being able to provide clarification in regard to funding. Its always been about the points in the discussions between Pinnacle and the league. Originally there was the points and a couple of issues. But a couple days later it was stated that the points were all that remained. What ever Pinnacle offered the League was obviously not accepted so the issue about the points was still there. MLT and TL might have been able to accept the -10 but that doesnt mean the money men were. Or were Pinnacle and co just ready to accept the -10 but wanted to be sure there will be nothing else? This statement doesnt really clarify it either way. It doesnt matter how long someone has the contract for. If they dont like the conditions they are never going to sign. Pinnacle could have come out and said the week before that the FL had there version of the contract for a week and all they had to do was sign. Daft statement IMO.

There probably are not many saints fans that wouldnt take it if it menat we still had a club to support. Problem is I doubt there are many buyers will ing to spunk 15mil on a club with that many points and such a high risk of ending up in League 2! how much would it cost to buy a league 2 club and take it up compared to a CCC at best club heading for league 2?
-
I honestly cant see anyone wanting to pay 15mil for the club with these conditions. Its probably worth about 30 quid now. Now on SSN site too http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_5407649,00.html kin tossers!

bloody hell i will need to join F5 annonomous at this rate!

I dont think MLT thought much of Lowe but while he was in charge he never said anything bad against him. He seems very diplomatic IMO. I wouldnt have thought MLT would turn to Hoddle but stranger things have happened. I would be more amazed however if Pinnacle actually complete the deal than MLT brining in Hoddle.

I wasnt trying to have a dig at anyone. I was talking tongue in cheek but in responce, you bought your season ticket to watch the saints, not to help the club I can only imagine that he got as far as he did based on evidence showing that he could have gone all the way. I guess his plans or efforts were never going to be as good as most others but if he was the last chance then his offer must have been in the ball park of what was wanted by the administrators? IMO it would have been the future commitment and funding that would have been below anything the others have bid. But look at the Pinnacle bid, they were supposed to be the best option! MJ bid = Not allot offered for now and for future but for the sake of the argument lets say it was guarenteed. Pinnacle bid = more offered for now and for future but when it comes to it the funds arnt really there so we are a month further down the line and still no pot to P in. I just think that while MJ's bid would have been no good for us he may have actually been offering a realistic bid with real money. I doubt it personally as his bornmouth bid fell through when it was time to show the readies but even so its still more than most others have done.

As laughable as his ideas and plans may have been, the guy did at least try to put something together in an attempt to buy the club. How much did we do? he certainly got allot further than many would have expected him too and it doesnt look like he wasted much of the administrators time either. he came, outlined his plans, must have proved funds to get as far as he did, didnt look like the best option so sat back while Pinnacle co(ked about with things for weeks and he gets a right slating on here by a load of cyber warriors. I for 1 am gutted we will never see the monorail and Monkey island and I think you lot will in time come to realise what a visionary the man was! In all seriousness at least the guy had a go and I think we are all amazed he got as far as he did.
-
Not good news this morning at all. With players out of the door will any perspective buyers want to renegotiate the deal? I can see this dragging on and on until we have no club left at all. Aint admin great
-
I thought if a sale hadnt been completed by Friday Fry will be speaking to the SFC directors to disgus the options. Dont think we will hear anything about it till the Monday at the earliest if it goes that far. But it would be a fair guess to say that if we go that far with no buyer we are buggered!

I got corrected a while back on something similar. They replaced most of there team via loans and youth so there could have been a fair whack paid out on loan fee's. They certainly didnt have the same team they went down with though.
