Im with the excelent suggestion bregade. My wifes mum vagly knows him and im sure he will find out from various sources that his support is not just from those at clubs he has been at. Good luck to him and anyone else in the same boat.

On paper that team looks good and only Murty is not on the books. Think we need a few new faces though as looking good on paper doesnt always provid the results needed.

Sounds like he has something that our team has been missing in recent seasons. I still prefer WGS as he will get them fit, not take shiite from players or press, knows how to build a winning team and doesnt like conceding slopy goals. Has gained a fair bit of experience of lower grade football since he left us last time so should do well in league 1 right back up to the prem and even has Champions league experience should we wish to dream that high. If we can get him long term I think he would be amazing for our future.

No he isnt. SSN just had it confirmed that there is no truth in the story by the board of NUFC.

I just wish we had a stronger defence last season as I think if the team believed they wouldnt go a goal or 2 down at any point then the kids could have had a field day. The QPR match that was on SSN we played some fantastic stuff yet got spanked because of a sending off and some sloppy defending. Imagine a brick wall of a defence and the kids playing off Ras and Saga with fast passing and counter attacking football. Game after game the confidence would grow and I think we would score and win a hat full. Like you said though, the manager/s couldnt get the team to play like it was an FA cup final every match and therefor silly mistakes and concentration let us down. once we got into that rutt there was no way back without massive changes.

He is an expencive player to have around that as yet has not proved he is worth the wages he has been on. League 1 Im sure he would look better and that might be the step he needs to progress further but he has been getting CCC wages for as long as he has been producing league 2 form. No doubt he will go elsewhere and do fantastically but I doubt many will be upset about him leaving.

Fair play that you dont have sour grapes. It would be interesting to find out why you believe you were not able to finalise the deal when ML could. Its also interesting that you rule out WGS, I take it your group approached him and got a no thanks? You have probably gone now so wont see this though lol.

I agree to a point. If they knew who they want and were sure that they could get him in quickly then get rid of Wotte ASAP and move along with there guy soon after. But if they dont know who they want we could be running right up to the start of the season with henderson and no additions to the squad. I believe it will all turn good in the end but they are playing with a possible relegation fight next season the longer they take to get it sorted. maybe they had who they wanted lined up thinking he would say yes? Maybe he said no and now they are looking for Plan B?

I ask my self, who is that big black defender? He is so dominant. Sorry got side tracked for a sec. Whats Harris complaining about then? As others have said, his firm was in charge for god knows how long to find a buyer and got no-where fast. All the while they were being paid for seemingly doing bugger all. Sounds like sour grapes to me even though im not sure if BT did everything they could or did what they did well.

i think the DOF role in the UK gets mixed up. If its just a link on the board with football matters then it makes sence. But you need someone that knows board level as well as football level. You wouldnt generally have the manager on the board discussing the finances of the club and so on and Rupes showed that the board level coming down to do football things doesnt work either. So maybe it could work but there are not many brit style managers that get it right so it rarly works over here.

Its all about opinions. Personally I think WGS would make us fit and hard to beat. With a bit of finacial support he could take us further than we went before. I dont think he is the greatest manager in the world but im sure we could do alot worse. I get the feeling though that we will not be over excited with who ever gets the job with some of the talk about who could be in line for it.

I didnt ask what you think they will do. I dont think there will be a chance in hell that they will choose him over some of the names that will or could be available. But if it was a choice of Wotte or Tony Adams you would still go for Adams? There both shiite but IMO Wotte is marginally better. I think Wotte would do better in league 1 than Adams would any day of the week.

So you would rather have Tony Adams? Obviously Wotte is gone and not coming back and I hope that we will have better opptions than TA but if its the choice between the 2 I seriously would prefer Wotte. Think we would win more albeit not many.

Id take either any day of the week but I think WGS would be more likly to stick at things to get the job done where as KK would be on a shorter term IMO.
