With the average age down to about 12 years old I can see Alpines point. We need a bit of experience in there to teach and support the kids. That midfield while being fast and upfor it would be pretty much headless and would get bossed around by most teams in league 1 let alone prem oppo's. Dont get me wrong cause I would love to see that line up stroll out every week and carve teams up but I think that was the 50/50 chance they took last season and it didnt work.

Ive probably sat near you a few times too then cause my dad's got seats around there too. He took my 2 girls with him on Sat as they were down there staying for the week and he tried to point out Steve Coppel to them as someone they might recognise off the telly and they had no clue lol.

which is why its only targeting people who live outside the area and then unable to attend the match or tune into the local radio. I know its minor but it winds me up and i go on a rant because of it lol. Anyway. last post from me today so ill just sit and hope we get a result.

Considering the club was a whisker away from being scrapped with much of its support buggering off looking for other things to do on a saturday you would have thought that the club would then make match day comentary more open to attract the stay away's back? with more people listening and talking about the saints the more interest would be drummed up shold we be doing well and in turn that would eventually equal more money through the gates. But instead they still charge the same as they did when we were in the prem and its only targeting people who live outside the area as those in the area can just turn on the radio for the same comentary. oh ffs you got me started now lol

hope its a good game today. my daughters have gone with me dad and if its carp they wont be hooked

For my last post of the day........ Up the Saints!
-
They did more to help us i think you will find. they helped by saving us money and also help there respective teams beat the teams around us which in effect gave us a better chance of survival. there teams pushing for promotion did bugger all in the way of relegating us.

Sounds fair enough to me. I doubt there is any club that hands an open cheque book to the manager so there will always be a CEO type that gives the nod on comings and goings. At the mo NC only has Pards say on how football is run. If a DOF is brought in it could be helpful to both NC and AP.

After so many years of rubbish news you know I didnt even stop to think if they could be waiting for better news. I am still half expecting the OS to come out and say its been a mistake and this Chelsea lad is signing for St Helens or somit. lol
-
On the fringes of the 1st team that is competing for Champions League, Prem and all cup competitions you would have thought a loan spell to the CCC would have done him more good. Why Chelsea are prepared to let him get knocked about in League 1 confuses me if he is that close to Prem football. Could just be that they hope he will turn out to be a 1st teamer for them but has allot to learn or they are dressing him up so they can ask for more money if we try and buy him in Jan. Not saying its not a good move for us but think some of the wording is more window dressing than anything else. We relied on a few loans last season, some worked and some didnt. Hopefully with the new owners we have a bit more room to filter out the chaff and just get the quality help we need. Looking better each week though so hopefully we will have a competitive team in time to push for playoffs.

looks like the OS is on top form as usual.
-
thats prob why only 10 or so turned up.

anyone got an idea of what raz and saga are on? im guessing its more than 10k per week so again by our own standards 10k is not overdoig anything. if this guy can bag the goals like he did last seaon then its 10k per week week spent IMO
-
With 2 main teams in Bristol you could argue that each club could have a population of 208200 which puts us as the bigger club
-
but if we have doubled his wages which by our standards were pi ss poor then it will be life changing to him but still reasonable to us? I got no idea what money he is on but does anyone believe he will be on anything like the wages of Saga, Raz, KD, Perry, Thomas or Holmes?
-
That doesnt suggest we are paying massive wages. To me it looks like BR have never pushed the boat out and this guy was just more expensive than anyone else they had. The rest could have been on £20 per week and he was on £25 per week for all we know
-
some of the goals in that vid its hardly suprising they are gutted to lose him. Hopefully he can continue that form withus and step up even further. We need people to get us out of this division and push us forwards in the CCC.

Ive just read on the saints player gumf that the comentary will be provided by radio solent. so they expect us to pay a quid more a month for a service that they are doing even less to provide? Its a bit off that we now have to pay for a bbc service that is already paid for in tv licence money to. And it winds me up that the paid comentary service is only aimed at people who live outside the area as inside you can just tune in your radio for the same comentary. If i lived in the area then id be going to matches, if i coudnt then i would have a choice of tuning in for free or paying for the saints player to get the same audio as for free. from here i only have one choice which kinda sucks. Think ill be gettin my old man to put the radio on and skype me every match. lol

Seats almost match so it could be him? -
After the way he had been treated in the past season or so he can hardly be blamed for not sticking with us. Loyalty goes both ways. But as he wants gone then sod it. Tosser!

think we might all have to chip in for a spare battery and send you to every game trousers. you kicked the ass out of twitter. :thumbs up smiley ferkin emote thingy:
