Agreed, it's not as though it's unheard of for a manager to (a) to leave when a bigger/better/more monied job is offered, or (b) to be sacked when they don't meet expectations. Pardew was tempted by an offer from a team in the top flight, so not sure how that makes him a "Keegan" (if the analogy is quitting when the sht hits the fan).

Well, when the cornerstone of your argument is that we should go off and listen to the recordings of an AGM, only for those aforementioned recordings not to exist, it does sort of render your position rather weak. Then when you further compund your already weakened position by saying actually it doesnt matter about them, then you really do end up coming across as rather, well, silly.
-
Au contraire, Lawrie's mistakes, successes, faux pas' and other credentials have been debated on here many times and will indeed continue to be so. But that's somewhat different from delving into the fiction aisles using non-existent links in that debate.
-
Has he managed to find the link then??? Come one Wes, share it around;)
-
Pretty difficult to read or even listen to something that doesn't exist. :DGreat line of argument you followed sending us off to look for a non-existent link that had been the mainstay of your position.
-
You do seem rather angst whenever his name is mentioned!! With regards stifling debate, it's not like you to over react now is it (last time I checked, I didn't have the power of deleting others posts) I will await with interest how the two you know will not even have one good thing to say about him and how they will want to take his head off. Don't tell me, shock horror, successful football manager acts in an egotistical manner and throws his weight around whilst working in an era where the industry was awash with under the counter payments.
-
He could comment on Justin Fashanu though, having played alongside him in the 80's. Whatever happened to Fashanu???
-
I seem to have taken your fcking swine flu!!!!!!!
-
Now that doesn't surprise me!!!!!!
-
He's really pssed you off!!!!! Did he bang an ex-girlfriend of yours back in the 80's????? Let it go fella, otherwise it will eat you up;)
-
Only a speculator would put so many "allegeds" in one post.
-
Feel free to embellish us with how you should have reworded an instruction telling us to listen to something that doesn't exist.
-
How are you going to cope with someone else giving an opinion on Saints??? Are you OK with his credentials?? We need to be told!!! Are there any links to recordings we need to listen to???
-
I'm all confused now. One minute Lawrie's our Official Commentator, the next it's David Armstrong. What's going on???
-
Upper part of the table, but not in play offs. IMHO nNext season will be our promotion push.
-
That will be the same Liberal Club whereby people were being offered out before it kicked off. The welcoming party outside may have had something to do with the group of Charlton giving it the big one in the ground during the game. The recent Charlton rivalry was also started by Charlton kicking off in Boogies (or wahtever it is called now) months before Maze Hill. Hardly the one sided account you're trying to make out.
-
Wouldn't dismiss him out of hand, but haven't seen much of him in recent years to know what his form and record has been like. A maybe from me.
-
As you say Lawrie must be on the media's list of contacts under Saints, just as Sillett/Jimmy Hill etc get rolled out when Coventry are in the spotlight, Micky Thomas at Wrexham etc etc etc. It hardly makes him the Official Commentator though.
-
So one minute to proved that your argument isn't baseless you tell us to go and look up some non-existent recordings, then the next they make little difference. Doesn't really reflect very well on you does it;)
-
You suggested that the poster looked up the Radio Solent recordings of the AGM as a part of your argument. They don't exist. HTH
-
How about the following players who have publicly backed Lawrie at events (or in private) I have been to over the years: Osgood Channon (who shared a platform with him recently) Rodrigues Fisher Bennett Ball Williams Wallace Peach Steele I really could go on and on and on (let me know if you need any more names)
-
I think you'll find that you were the one insisting that we should look those links up and using them to justify your position. I would conjecture that the very fact the recordings which you rely on don't actually exist sort of makes your argument rather weak at best.
-
Feel free to post these links to AGM recordings. Are they what you've based your views on. Would love to hear them.
-
I'd take anything!!!!!!
-
But Danny Wallace had an association with the Club for 10+ years, whilst we don't know John Hartson anymore than we knew Alan Stubbs, Neil Harris, Geoff Thomas, Bryan Gunn, Gary McAllister, Colin Hendry etc etc etc.
