  1. Do you seriously think there is any semblence of class in chanting John Hartson's name tomorrow??? None of the posts against the idea have been heartless, crass or lacking in class, and if anything the idea of chanting his name in order to show others how great we are is itself rather lacking in class.
  2. Just trying to fathom out how a lack of interest & ignoring him stacks up with making loads of comments on here & claiming he has been made official commentator;)
  3. He's only the official commentator in your mind. The majority can recognise he's the one name (along with probably Matty) who the media associate with us and so he's on their contact list in much the same way as a number of other famous(ish) people are associated with other clubs. I don't really understand what teh fuss is all about. If you're not interested in what he says, then ignore him.
  4. Due to a bout of elephant flu (slightly more serious than swine flu) I now have a spare ticket for Madness (& Aswad) at Broadlands, Romsey, tomorrow night. Anyone interested?????
  5. ;)I've got a spare Madness ticket for tomorrow if anyone wants it;) Infractions incoming!!!!!!!!!!:tfrag:
  6. And I don't doubt for one minute that every fan on here has every sympathy and support for Hartson, it's just that I find the call for the chanting of his name rather Dianesque. And the very fact that it is being pitched as showing everyone how wonderful we are sort of emphasises that point.
  7. Technically The Royal Oak is built in to the side of it. The other one up East Street is The Anchor (used to be able to take your pints from there in to Nicks Restaurant LOL). My memories of East Street Shopping Centre were: Tandys Top Trainers (the only place I bought trainers for years) Courts Furniture The Pine Shop (always had a sale on) The cafe upstairs Bejams The Music Shop (Terrilles??) The Pet Shop Half Price Jewellers Getting chased by what must have been the original SMMB!!!!! A decent newsagents A faint whiff of urine/wine/lager/meths
  8. A sound appointment for me. A pretty decent track record and I just think he has that something (i.e. a bit of fight and ambition) that we will need over coming seasons. I also think he has a point to prove which we will hopefully benefit from.
  9. And he was buying the oranges for half time at M & S recently (unless he's stocking up on Vitamin C to ward off swine flu!!!).
  10. First Iraq war and Western troops (mainly American) based in Arabic states (mainly Saudi)??? PS I'm with C B Fry with regards the OP.
  11. Ba Da Bing!!!!!! PS I've forwarded that post to Hughesy for his lawyers to go to town on. I'm quite flattered, although he's a bit straight laced so expect a writ winging it's way to TSW Towers. I hope Granty and Baj's Media Liability Insurance policy is paid up;)
  12. That's a terrible % for a school in Geneva!!!!!!!!!
  13. Now all we need is a small child!!!!!
  14. I'll leave it up too your imagination!!!!! As I said it was on a double that I was witness to his prowess with a guitar;)
  15. Damn, there goes my "I'm always right" mantra, got Paul Hughes mixed up with Mark Paul - mind you neither of them made a start for us!!!!!!! Think I have Paul Hughes on the brain though after a great double date many moons ago!!!!! Did you know he can the guitar very well??
  16. It was under Jones and the photo (I think) included: Marshall, Ripley, Mark Hughes, Paul Hughes, Beattie & Howells.
  17. Ifyou've only been around since April then you've missed a number of exclusives/revelations appearing on here before they have been public knowledge. For example, I leaked James Beattie's new blonde hair style years ago, as well as Hassan Kachloul's choice of swimwear in Ayia Napa and Wigley's birthaday party at the The King and I restaurant.
  18. As you said yesterday (or the day before), I'm always right;)
  19. A centre midfielder we have all heard of, Tuesday next week.
  20. WGS will be announced or paraded before the Ajax game.
  21. I personally think whatever your contrubution, you should only be entitled to one vote and one chance to win the prize.
  22. From reading this forum recently I certainly got the impression that season ticket sales would start off with a boost, with many on here chomping at the bit for the Club to start selling them. I always thought that with Crouch and others dipping in to their pockets to ensure we would still have a Club to support and McMenemy and others issuing rallying calls, then the minute our Swiss uncle signed the cheque I sensed there was going to be a rush at the ticket office.
  23. Better open up the Itchen Concourse as well and put tables down there (I'm going to get killed for this LOL)
  24. With all the multiple identities he could have a table of his own (and still manage to antagonise his alter ego's)!!!!!!
  25. As in it will be worth something, as it will be the only shirt ever allocated to him!!!!!
