  1. What I think is significant is how people from across a wide spectrum (e.g. DellDays and I aren't the best of buddies;)) find you slightly bemusing. It's not the difference of opinions that appears to be the problem, more the delivery:D
  2. I'm sure I remember much discussion of this a while back and I'm also sure Cowen showed some interest. Can anyone remember anything about it?? I thought money was an issue, as IMHO this would have to be subsidised as I just don't think it would generate suffcient funds to cover itself. Maybe a team of volunteers to staff it???? A company to sponsor it????
  3. How about a non-existent one? www.AdrianHeath=HeartBreaker.ev.co.uk
  4. Considering your normal keeness to post the same things everywhere, the least you could have done was to post it on this thread as well (or at least put a link to it up on here, preferably one that works;)).
  5. I think you're being a tad harsh on Lowe there. Whilst I don't think he actually "got it" with regards football and supporters, I don't think he really did forget anything pre his arrival. The Rodrigues medal is one case in point. I'm not sure he totally understood the legacy and what it meant, but I don't think he went for a Year Zero approach (the McMenemy feud was more to do with a clash of egos as opposed to wiping the slate). As for a museum, whilst we obviously haven't got the silverware and success of Man Yoo to exhibit, this is an institution that has played a big role in the city for almost 125 years and so I think there could be a case for it. As you say, I'm sure there must be some great artefacts, memories and momentoes out there that people would share.
  6. It's how I spell, now do you want a link to Adrian Heath and the 1984 FA Cup run or not?
  7. All I'm saying is should we be looking for the link, or doesn't it matter anymore?
  8. Getting on for almost 20 years and my irrational "hatred" of Everton is probably based on no more than Adrian Heath and that semi (although Being brought up to boo John Bailey may have had a subconscious effect as well!!). As for this thread, I wouldn't read too much into it, it's mainly one dinlo who probably doesn't even know who Adrian Heath is if his posts are anything to go by.
  9. I wouldn't know, I'm still waiting for the Radio Solent link to work;)
  10. With reagrds the last two posts then i have to agree in that if Pardew gets poached on the basis of success with us, then I would accept that (even if I would prefer to be successful and keep him of course). Considering where we are, I reckon success will be back in the CCC within 2 years and if we have to go again with someone else if he is poached, then i could live with that.
  11. But when you said it doesn't matter, I stopped looking/waiting!!! Should I carry on or doesn't it matter??
  12. I think we should just send him looking for links that don't exist:D
  13. You were the one who brought it up, you were the one who told us to go and listen to the recordings, you were the one using it as the basis for your argument. And you were the one found out to be making stuff up by asking us to listen to stuff that doesn't exist. You can backtrack as much as you want to, but making stuff up isn't really the best line to use in a debate. You sort of lose the debate before you start. Then you must have missed the many threads/debates/arguments about the role that McMenemy and others have played (good, bad and ugly) over the years, and my contributions to them. A poor attempt at diverting attention from your work of fiction mind!!!! Maybe I should justify my position by forwarding you to a link that doesn't exist;)
  14. Agreed, it's not as though it's unheard of for a manager to (a) to leave when a bigger/better/more monied job is offered, or (b) to be sacked when they don't meet expectations. Pardew was tempted by an offer from a team in the top flight, so not sure how that makes him a "Keegan" (if the analogy is quitting when the sht hits the fan).
  15. Well, when the cornerstone of your argument is that we should go off and listen to the recordings of an AGM, only for those aforementioned recordings not to exist, it does sort of render your position rather weak. Then when you further compund your already weakened position by saying actually it doesnt matter about them, then you really do end up coming across as rather, well, silly.
  16. Au contraire, Lawrie's mistakes, successes, faux pas' and other credentials have been debated on here many times and will indeed continue to be so. But that's somewhat different from delving into the fiction aisles using non-existent links in that debate.
  17. Has he managed to find the link then??? Come one Wes, share it around;)
  18. Pretty difficult to read or even listen to something that doesn't exist. :DGreat line of argument you followed sending us off to look for a non-existent link that had been the mainstay of your position.
  19. You do seem rather angst whenever his name is mentioned!! With regards stifling debate, it's not like you to over react now is it (last time I checked, I didn't have the power of deleting others posts) I will await with interest how the two you know will not even have one good thing to say about him and how they will want to take his head off. Don't tell me, shock horror, successful football manager acts in an egotistical manner and throws his weight around whilst working in an era where the industry was awash with under the counter payments.
  20. He could comment on Justin Fashanu though, having played alongside him in the 80's. Whatever happened to Fashanu???
  21. I seem to have taken your fcking swine flu!!!!!!!
  22. Now that doesn't surprise me!!!!!!
  23. He's really pssed you off!!!!! Did he bang an ex-girlfriend of yours back in the 80's????? Let it go fella, otherwise it will eat you up;)
  24. Only a speculator would put so many "allegeds" in one post.
  25. Feel free to embellish us with how you should have reworded an instruction telling us to listen to something that doesn't exist.
