And what were those mistakes? Can't help feeling that your friend Mark Jackson is punching well well well above his weight. We shall soon see All IMHO of course Morph
-
Leon is very much in with the Salz Consortium. Kind Regards Morph
-
Exit2, The chances of Jackson taking over our club are non existent. Do you really think that they will raise the £14 million that Fry is demanding ? Does anyone think that Leon would finance us in the anticipation of Jackson taking over ? I don't think so. Regards Morph
-
A quick note to advise that Salz is still talking to Fry and is waiting to be invited to put in a bid. I should put the word "invited" in bold, but I don't know how to do that on this forum His Consortium's bid will be far far less than the two being talked about, much much less, with a take it or leave it to boot. I suspect Fry and the creditors are now getting nervous, I really do. What is it that they say about "Wily old Foxes" Regards Morph

As I said on another thread, this is all brinkmanship by Fry trying to get the best for the creditors. The creditors need to take a much bigger haircut than they want. There is no way they will allow the Club to disappear and they loose everything. I'm just hoping that the Jackson Consortium are not naive enough to give Fry what he wants, leaving nothing for the Club to invest in players and take things forward. Regards Morph

I agree, this is all brinkmanship by Fry trying to get the best for the creditors. The creditors need to take a much bigger haircut than they want, well that's tough on them. There is no way they will allow the Club to disappear and they loose everything. I'm just hoping that the Jackson Consortium are not naive enough to give Fry what he wants, leaving nothing for the Club to invest in players and take things forward. Clearly Pinnacle were not that naive. Regards Morph

Yes, but I'm yet to be convinced of that. Regards (and this is the last of my 3 posts for today) Morph
-
Gotta be positive. Do you really think our club will be allowed to disappear forever? No, nor do I Regards Morph
-
My take on it is there is a great deal of brinkmanship and posturing going on at present. The guy negotiating the financial aspects of the deal needs to be very very good and by all accounts the financial guy from Pinnacle (and I'm not talking about Lynam) is just that. Oh yes, and Salz is definately not involved in the Pinnacle bid. A concerned but still confident Morph
-
Doggface, Are you confident that the Pinnacle guys, if successful, will be OK for us. Regards Morph
-
Ron, We all know how he feels. I'm glad I'm being kept well in the dark presently, although I'm getting comfort for my understanding that you may think the Pinnacle guys are OK for us ?. Kind Regards Morph
-
I suspect Nick Holmes Regards Morph
-
Afraid so (but debt free) All IMHO of course Regards Morph

IMHO, Salz cannot raise the £8 million that is alleged to have been raised by Pinnacle (well as Deputy Chairman of N M Rothchild he could raise a great deal more if he wanted to send us into major debt), but he can raise at least £5 million which I suspect includes Leon. He can certainly produce a very good and proven team of Directors, most of whom are not local businessmen, but are all season ticket holders and big Saints fans. I suspect Salz is waiting for the Pinnacle bid to fail. I hope the Pinnacle bid is the best for our club, but if it is not and it fails I believe the Salz consortium will become active. We shall see. Regards Morph

I wonder if NickG will be eating humble pie after all? BTW I've heard nothing because my source is bound by an NDA. I was made aware before the NDA that Salz was honing in on an American investor. I suppose Canada is close enough to America. Regards A very much in the dark for now Morph PS But would welcome some ITK information from NickG

Duncan, An interesting aside is that the Barings family used to own substantial property in Abbots Worthy and Kings Worthy and used to finance an annual fete many years ago. No doubt Rupert and Nick have put paid to all that. Kind Regards and all quiet from where I sit Morph

Was on this morning at approx 10:00am

I wouldn't like to think that you are close to Mark Fry ???, Notwithstanding NickG will no doubt constantly remind you that I have been very wrong in my overall conclusions over the years, so I must be wrong again Kindest Regards Morph
-
Maybe that how they do things in Canada. Regards Morph

Here is the link http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/untoldstories/ Regards Morph

Don't think so, unless things have changed since last week All quiet on the Salz front I'm told. These NDA agreements are holding firm. Such a drag. All I hear is, "anything can happen" Regards Morph
-
Surprised you chose JJB (maybe you guessed?) But very very warm in regards the Salz consortium. I'm beginning to think that all the others may blow themselves out and the Salz consortium will be the best we can hope for, although Salz can certainly save the club there is a concern about financing going forward with his consortium, unless he has managed to join up with another consortium with more money. But there again the other consortia may all be tyre kickers and not exist. We shall see. Regards Morph
-
OK, I stand corrected. Regards Morph
