Imagine being given one game to save your job, your cheerleader on the board requesting that his boy be given ‘one more chance’ and it’s grated. Then imagine that the game is against an underperforming Wolves side at home and you are 1-0 up against ten men with an hour to go. Their best player in recent weeks off the park and your new forward signing on fire. Imagine what it takes to blow that in terms of utter incompetence and lack of ability.

On reflection if the title of this post was edited to ‘worst manager’ or ‘worst Welshman’ perhaps ‘worst human’ Nat would once again be amongst Europe’s elite.

I would agree that Ankersen retains the potential to be that idiotic, compounding his error whilst revealing himself to lack both business and emotional intelligence. You have to think that the grown ups will step in now and take the damaged toy from the petulant child.

Unthinkable if the turd remains unflushed after today. Compounded incompetence and insult to injury.

I think that there are other candidates that I’d prefer personally, but Lage would likely feel like a thought out consumate professional after the debacle that is Nathan Jones. He’s an organiser and would set us up effectively. I get the criticism of underperforming players, but this is arguably the best squad we’ve had in years and it would at least be interesting in the remaining games to see them effectively managed. That way, there would be an outside chance of some of the talent staying post relegation to regroup. Ankersen needs to stop sulking and own his cardinal error as stubbornness and indecisiveness have now been added to his serious character flaws.

I thought I might be briefly ITK last weekend when reliably informed it would be Lage and Selles, but hopes dashed as they clinged to the Nat wreckage for another week. Think he has to go now or it’s insult to injury imposed on the fans by the club.
