With Argentina and France in the final FIFA and Qatar should redeem themselves by declaring both teams joint losers and award the World Cup to Ukraine, progressive, like Eurovision.

Chronologically JWP could be a result of a second coming of Le Tissier in 1994, he was running Celebration Plaza then. Didn’t get the nose or maverick streak in open play but possibly Guernsey DNA in the free kicks!

For fucks sake don’t give Rasmus ideas!

Thought getting Crocker was a smart move, bright bloke, so this seems a little out of sorts. Probably replace him with the groundsman at Yeovil Town whose recovery stats are better.

All seems very retro and sports teacher with a whistle to be honest - the voice would probably be enough for me to put in a transfer request. Appointing Nathan Jones feels a bit like our last Jones, Dave, to me. Clarence wasn't the worst we've had but all very Stockport lower league methodology and muck and bullets, albeit with the luxury of a couple of stellar individual wizards like Le Tissier and Pahars, but NJ has nowt like that at his disposal here. Dave Jones tenure was 25 years ago, and I too don't think that the 'we are all in this together' approach is going to work in the top flight in 2022, certainly not with this squad. Ultimately I'm a Saints supporter and I hope this is a Ramus masterstroke and proof is in the pudding, so of course it's going to be all about results over the coming weeks in judging whether the players buy in. If they fail to do so, given the incredibly benevolent fixture list and window, we are toast chaps.

I'd want more than £5 😉

Crocker leaving clearly precedes the long awaited return of Paul Mitchell, swapping Monaco for Ocean Village (nobody slag him off on here or he wont come!).

His dear old mum looks like she could do a job at the back, like Tommy Smith in a hijab.

In a foreign language too! Devastating…

Only if he converts to Islam over Christmas.

To be honest it’s just a shame it’s not in Ocean Village.

Wood and Sarr are both really solid suggestions but given the balls up in the summer and current position it could be an ask to get them to sign up to the project. IMO we most need the focal point and leader up front, a Pelle type player. Similarly posters are making good calls throughout this thread but SR will probably go left field. You’d hope that the club would have a list of targets in terms of both permanent signings and loans and my jan window ‘fantasy’ would probably see us signing more than two and giving Jones a forward line selection headache, including recall of Tella.

To be honest I was just relieved that Saints didn't have any current players in that Wales side, as there are a good few who seem 'Saintsy' - on this showing dodged high calibre bullets with past links to Ampadu, Allen, and Necro Williams.

i.e. in Scotland.

Really like the look of Niclas Fullkrug, the big German centre forward who scored a cracker against Spain last night. Looks just what we could do with, power, mobile, good first touch and actually scores goals. 29 now, but contract running down at Werder Bremen. No knowledge of whether Saints have interest, simply a World Cup spot, but would likely give us that Lambert / Pelle focal point.

Hope not. 18 year old kid with three first team sub appearances. If Sport Republic avoid proven talent and attempt to expand their expensive kindergarten in January, we are toast!
-
Just need to find his first touch now.

Best double up with a couple of Ecuadorians to make sure!!
-
To be fair to the bloke just played a blinder for Iran vs the taffs.

Perhaps given to new public relations child who has misunderstood the concept. intrigued to hear what the summer residential entails!

A better and more focused analogy for Semmens to use would have been 'a spare prick at a wedding...'.
-
About fucking time!

Class act, great keeper, inspired confidence in a relatively limited side, just what we’ve needed for years.
-
Hopefully this sees wee Ross finally achieve his spiritual career move, as head of strategy for the SNP.

If Sports Republic have got any sense, invite him to Staplewood and advise him to claim asylum - effectively a free transfer.
