  1. Think it was the medical staff kicking off, so a bit like A&E on a Friday evening.
  2. Very well done Palace, enjoyed that! Basically did what we did to City last week, but with better players and manager. Good to see the FA cup out of the hands of the franchises for a year. Looking back, our cup win in 1976 genuinely galvanised the city and provided a decade of positive momentum for Saints, probably our greatest decade as a football club. Like some others have said above, clubs like us should always take the domestic cup competitions seriously, or even prioritise - no better catalyst to get above station and annoy the fuck out of the entitled minority and their pet media.
  3. And big Dave Merrington! Saints are historically a ginger sanctuary club.
  4. 2024 - 7th (Haise) 2023 - 2nd (Haise) 1 point off PSG as champions 2022 - 7th (Haise) 2021 - 7th (Haise) 2020 - 2nd (Montanier / Haise) 7th last year saw Franck Haise off to Nice (currently 4th), Will Still's RC Lens are 9th in Ligue 1 (a league of 18) with a game to go and looks like their final position.
  5. Didn't help with Cortese insisting that the gold-plated lightswitches and coat hooks were all a foot lower than normal, and that there was an in-house dry-cleaners.
  6. Berwick Rangers might be a tad ambitious. Hopefully it's Leicester.
  7. They had the shock of their scouse lives and a proper battering all over London that day.
  8. If he was he’d be playing for Goztepe!
  9. Dugout Pioneers vs Floodlight Pioneers. Always disliked them since Bailey and Heath, and latterly for poaching and ruining Ronald. I hope we completely piss on their parade - Toffos 0 Saints 2 and Moyes with a face like a ransacked cottage is the predictione.
  10. Already in negotiations:
  11. Fucking hell, Hoddle was right after all, literally paying for the sins of a previous life (the SFC birthright).
  12. Lest we forget. Ready on the end of the phone, with a hotline to Bejing...
  13. Sargent and Sainz from Norwich will be on the radar, and Johansson (Stoke) should be approached even before Ramsdale's inevitable move is lined up. Goodrham (Oxford). Chakvetadze (Boro), Tanganga (Millwall), should all be on the radar if we are looking to recruit the best in our league. If Rohl comes in, he may fancy Gassama from Sheff Weds, also. Hopefully it's going to be a busy summer.
  14. Agreed. If Rohl gets us up in good shape (autos) he's earned the choice to stay and develop a relatively big Premier league club in terms of pedigree and infrastructure, or consider offers from the bona fide big boys a la Maresca. Cooper, I think should be in the frame as a no-brainer. His real strength is as an organiser, he could well get us up in an automatic place and then may look to stay at Saints to consolidate and build on his experience, we'd be a good fit for that. However, of the trio suggested, the appointment of Still would worry me, and I think he'd be on a hiding to nothing considering where morale is at the club right now. Whoever it is, they need to be in place soon after the season ends to decide who to sell and recruit, and I think that they will be.
  15. As far as I know Solak formally offered him the job before they appointed Juric, and response was wait and see.
  16. Same when Gerrard was in contract talks with Chelsea during their glory spell, in an attempt to get some medals in his career. The bestest fans in de world's response was a 'hate campaign' and death threats towards Gerrard and his family. LFC is a club with a mobile mental health crisis - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-308410/Gerrards-U-turn-threats-family.html
  17. Knowing these fuckwits they thought they were interviewing Alf Ramsey (Ankersen's new ChatShit AI suggested a decent record and connection to Saints).
  18. Is there a go fund me page?
  19. Another ‘left field’ appointment would appear to be the last thing we need right now. Still’s main claim to fame appears to be that he is known as the young man who went from gamer to manager, that would be the U.K. press angle. Lens under Still’s management are likely to end up in a lower league position than the last two seasons under Montainier and Haise - so he’s not pulled up any trees in a poor league. He has no English football league experience at all, and rather then lift or galvanise a disenfranchised fanbase would likely deepen the current rift between the majority of long suffering fans and a board that has presided over a debacle since the day they arrived. The two permanent appointments made by Sport Republic to this point were both questioned by the majority fanbase on appointment and Still would likely be exactly the same - a work experience / work in progress appointment. From a personal perspective, I think that he is comes across as a chancer in interviews and is the last type of hire required at this point. What makes you think he’s the right fit?
  20. Nothing to do with him being a ‘novice’ manager or otherwise.
  21. Will Still would however be peak Sport Republic, despite us being treated to Nathan Jones. If these bozos are that stupid, season ticket renewals will be the least of their worries.
