Who don’t actually discuss any ‘law’ in their puff piece - this will be the trainee who took the sports law module 😇
-
Yes, as always in such circumstances, medicine and law, no news is usually good news.
-
Lots of people will be involved in this process at different points - comings and goings - so likely to use the three days to absorb logistics. I would think we will get the press release either midday Tuesday after decision on Monday, or late afternoon (to avoid immediate reaction from either club). Saints will have been very firm on their response to a disproportionate sanction. Still think it will be a fine and ‘something else’ and SFC may well appeal the something else. Any notion of expulsion and Solak will go to law immediately and the EFL may well have to delay their Wembley final or promotion announcements as a result. No point in panicking or doomsaying at this point.

Well up for this. See you in Court!

The Middlesbrough appreciation thread, Gloucester, the lady was goading the Saints fans at the Riverdive. I believe her name is Stephanie Gibson, Boro’s legal director and stress relief receptacle.
-
Nope, would be my thoughts.

Genuinely 99% of the 'factoids' on this episode are pure conjecture and tripe - this is wot I fink will happen, they are bang to rights etc. You always think a percentage of the Great British public on our sceptred isle are as thick as two short planks, but I may have to fucking emigrate after this.

Jesus Christ, this episode is like the matrix for the hard of thinking!

They are irrelevant to this case regardless. They cant be heard.
-
Not sure of their regs but you would imagine the panel reports to the regulator and its them that will set and impose the penalty. Anything not directly to do with this specific case (ie the boy with the phone) will be seen as irrelevant, so the Spors link sounds like further hysterical nonsense. I cant think of any serious tribunal that would consider previous bad character of unconnected employees, and if it did its breaching conceptions of natural justice if it moves to law (i.e. actionable by SFC)

I think the clubs and EFL / panel have been in 'talks' for the past week. Middlesbrough's sole action is to make the complaint, the censure comes from the panel. Let's assume that Saints will say that the 'spy' is a young kid not reporting directly to the coaching team or Board. If the situation can be resolved via internal disciplinary action and a fine of circa £500k (most likely), Saints will pay it to get rid off the problem. Points deduction plus a fine may stick in the craw but that call is on the Board in terms of appealing or moving on. If the panel goes further (which would surprise me) and am certain Saints will litigate as per the previous post. In large scale commercial litigation it's rather like poker in that the person with the deepest pockets usually wins, and that is Solak. To paraphrase the great jurist William Wonka, Gibson 'get's nothing!'* *and if he does I very much doubt we will hear about it.

Neither will theirs.

That will be the SFC default. All primed. Impressive crisis management so far compared to MFC’s chaos!
-
Excellent work. Do email the club.

That’s more in my field, so bring it on!

He’ll need to invest in a higher res camera!
-
Yes, they can’t afford me to tell them that! 😊
-
They haven’t got a legal case, but doubt that their £400 an hour man will tell them that for the next 300 billable hours 😂
-
Love the fact that’s she’s dressed up in the sunday best and positioned herself on the aisle! A sense of occasion!

Made this point yesterday, no way Dragan Solak will roll over on this. I would imagine the Serbian / Balkan telecommunications industry is a tad more feisty than running a waste haulage firm in the North Yorks area.

I've heard he left an enormous floater, further adding to the Teeside anger!
