  1. Here’s the current Spors’ pay as you play option list, but he wont want to admit he fucked up on Downs.
  2. Danny Ings, most obvious for us after Liverpool, perhaps.
  3. Poor coaching and worse senior management for me, you only have to see how likes of Bree and Brereton are performing in this league weeks after leaving SFC to substantiate that! All due to the SR wankers below the cashpoint that is Solak not wanting anyone who actually knows english football to have a say and expose the grift!
  4. Assume the board have now given up on their pre-season target of automatic promotion with Will Still. Wonder how long we have to endure the outside chance of Will scraping into the play-offs to save Spors & co’s blushes. Knowing the Sport Republic brains trust, around fucking Easter!
  5. A bit like his fucking tactics!
  6. First goal yesterday an intuitive strikers goal, the second one a ‘back in business’ cracker! Pray he stays fit.
  7. Mee would have been a smart move, but would seem preference of Spors was to entrust the leadership role to Jack Stephens. Personally, I think we should have approached Fonte to join coaching staff when he left Braga in 2024, over Lallana. Fonte has profile, presence and very vocal (currently captaining Casa Pia at 41). Also, Romeu would have been a no brainer approach option for player/coach this summer, regardless of his age. Have to assume Spors & Co. think otherwise.
  8. Gene Wilder clearly the difference between the two sides!
  9. Best grass i’nt world, Yorkshire!
  10. I think a lot of Saints fans are savvy when it comes to the manager's 'style' and how this is being expressed on the pitch. Strachan was all about fine margins, narrow results to gain points and getting the maximum from average players - a fair few low scoring wins and draws but he was likeable and the supporters loved him. Maybe Still can try to replicate that.
  11. Exactly, might as well trust Richard Nixon!
  12. One thing I got from the Still documentary videos and past record when he was confirmed as joining us was that he keeps a professional distance from the players, and not afraid to drop non-performers regardless of seniority. Tight ship and squad as a unit in terms of performance. Saw that as a big positive of his appointment after the previous quartet who seemed either frightened or unbothered to change things around. I get the impression that Still doesn't enjoy the media stuff, but is at least honest when responding to questions. Admirable if it turns out that whilst knowing that this is a big job / chance for him, he is sticking to core principles. We are desperate for a convincing league win, but I really hope he gets it whilst leaving out the Sport Republic 'boy band' that has undermined us in recent years.
  13. Apart from down the M27!
  14. Yep. And if results don’t improve up to the international break appoint Sean Dyche as Still’s replacement. Get some proper shuttle runs and fortune telling in the Capt Jack and Hardwood Beliis schedule!! 😊
  15. Walking back over the Itchen bridge, two middle aged Boro supporters walking alongside and behind me talking about the game. Thought they were lucky to get a point. Mentioned that Azaz was same when he joined them, slow starter, a confidence player, took a while to get up to speed. Singled out Armstrong as constant threat from flanks and Quarshie as the biggest surprise to them ‘looks a beast of a player’. Good to hear oppo perspective on where we are.
  16. Bloke I know had triplets and called them Ulrich, Van, and Gobbel. Bit much I thought…
  17. Pelle was, but 29 when we signed him, Downs was 20. Can remember Shearer developing into a brick shithouse after he left us. One thing the lad has on his side is time.
  18. Downs should be forced to watch videos of Pelle on a loop in terms of what a target man needs to do on and off the ball. Graziano same size as Damion was a great player for conserving energy to attack, whilst rattling defenders and goalkeepers.
  19. Far too sensible and thinking inside the box. Spors & Co., are probably 'talent spotting' the Czech second division!
  20. Spot on. This is squarely on Spors & Co.
  21. Noticed this first game of the season, so easily bullied and outflanked by journeyman defenders I had to question what I was seeing for a bloke his size. Like a heavyweight being pushed around by middleweights. Age on his side but that's also linked to commitment a la Bella Kotchap!
  22. To be honest I would have bought in a new skipper, clean slate and all that. If that didn't come off perhaps tried harder to tempt Romeu back on a free, with a bumper one to two year deal.
  23. Yes, as GS said, the problem is Sport Republic, who seem completely incapable of learning despite repeated kicks in the bollocks. From their first day at the club, if they had tried to walk before they learned to run we would likely still be a stable and established top flight club.
