It's extremely heartening that you can say that now Turkish. I know you had your differences, but in retrospect Cortese could be called a visionary, like a diminutive Steve Jobs or Alan Sugar.

Valery, raw obviously, but had a mare this evening, been schooled.

Agree with this.

Get the f*ck in that number!

Was this deal negotiated by Theresa May? A possibility for the vacant DOF role.

Great academy players who never made it in the first team

Neville a real blast from the past - he’s spent the last 30 years coaching in Oz, still there -https://www.sorrentofc.com.au/steve-neville-technical-director/ -
They seemed to pick it up when we went down - tossers!

Incredible isn’t it; and clearly aiming for the title!

Just like when he was appointed as Soccerball President.

My money is on Phil Mitchell, with Nick Cotton coming in as head of Public Relations.

That's at least an upgrade - club moving in the right direction.

DOF&S - Director of Football and Shopping. Kat is going to revamp the matchday catering, a free apple strudel on every seat at the next home match, Paul Chuckle’s first game in charge.

Maybe Ralph is setting up a band - The Five Pledges...

Hopefully Poo Pong Macploppy the Trainspotting extra next!

Agree, that's the most likely upcoming scenario. It's a start I suppose.

Man City 6-1 defeat dissection post match thread.

Not defeat but manner of the defeat. I wanted Hughes to stay at the end of last season, thought he’d earned that to be honest, but we now look lacklustre and bereft of ideas to a man; lacking in fitness and careless. Hate to say it but to have a decent chance to stay up we may need yet another change ASAP. In any sane universe Reed and wee Ross just have been long gone by now, plus Krueger in all honesty - three professional chancers stealing a living. The lack of direction from Gao at the very top is worrying and seems to be a principal cause of the malaise, either lost in translation or couldn’t care less - who knows? Question in who could you bring in to galvanise this lot, a decent CEO for Krueger would be easy, give Mitchell Reed and Wilson’s joint salary to come in as Head of Football ops and recruitment would seem sensible, but who as the manager at this point, goodness knows! -
Favours cybercrime these days I've heard.

With decent staff directly below him Krueger could probably get away with his '#sportbizzspeak talking head' role, but Reed and Wilson are stealing a living and have been for some time. Ralph despite his intellectual limitations must know this, so the chop must surely be fast approaching. Cortese with his propensity for shredders, high heels and overspend at least had a vision, a clear style and a bit of charisma and if Gao is serious he needs a similar skillset to lead, stablise and get us competitive again. However, with KL now completely distant and the apparently clueless Gao trying to contain serious problems with his core businesses a further sale is possible, and perhaps that is the tonic we really need - new engaged owners and a clearout from the top! We may have allowed ourselves to be caught in terms of league performance and our dispirited fanbase is punch-drunk but our infrastructure and potential draw is still top ten at the moment - the worse thing that could happen right now is nothing.

Forster the solid gold Tommy Forecast!

Matt Le Tissier is the best player I've ever seen play in the flesh for us or anyone else. His son and my daughter were born the same night at the Princess Anne and a fond memory is chatting for hours as two young men (clearly petrified) in the 'Father's room' about everything apart from football - down to earth, funny and makes a decent cup of tea - a genuinely nice chap! The winning trophies thing always comes up in interviews, and I hope at some point he retorts that it's only like playing for Liverpool currently. He should however have won many more England caps, but Gazza was the creative pin up boy at the time even though he was about half the player of Le Tissier. Imagine him for a moment in that Koeman side of a couple of years ago, the nearest Ronald would get to building a team around his boyhood hero, Cruyff.

He is the master of motivation, and clearly keeping himself fit whilst looking for a club. What's not to like - https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/hatem-ben-arfa-weirds-out-internet-bizarre-motivational-video-holiday

I think Ralph as host should go down the Jeremy Kyle route and force Les to undertake a live lie detector test in front of the fans. Hearts and minds.

We should resurrect this song, Connolly used to love it!
