Superb! A lol. I’ve heard they’ve lined up Candy Krueger, Ruby Reed, and Frida Pellegrino to manage the step up...

Boruc all day long for me but Christ what a side - damning to be honest!

Don’t take it personally Ralph, it’s just bants!

Are we as big as his much cited Fudge Bay Packers yet, or has Walph decided we are in fact a cockamamee two bit no good non-enterprise? Next year's PowerPoint at Davos on the Carillion stage will either be 'In the mouth of the Dragon: My Quest against the Triads' or 'Success from the Jaws of Mediocrity: How a Small Club Defied the Odds (due to me)' - the utter bellend!

If Rickie Lambert came out of retirement...

He may soon have to make ends meet plying his trade as an escort in Blackpool if he wants to keep the basketball court... -

Bob Higgins, David Speedie, Les Reed, Nelly Gao. Obvs...

Barton is not all there and struggles with self reflection and mea culpa, plus Hughes would have murdered him in a fight and almost certainly at Trivial Pursuit!...

Our best 3 signings since returning to the premier league

VVD Mane Wanyama My goodness this thread highlights the amount of superb players that have passed through the club in the last few years. -
This looks and feels like the fifth round match in 2008 when we lost 1-0 to Bristol Rovers and a tubby lad called Lambert scored - even the awful pitch, idiotic BBC commentary and biased officials are the same. Bound to be scrappy and nervous today, Hughes has only had two short training sessions with the team and has simply played his senior players in a 4-4-2 - at worst it’s an assessment exercise! A goal for saints could change everything and I think we will see Long on straight after halftime and he will rattle these defenders and keeper. Despite the nerves and creaming commentators I reckon we will sneak this - COYR!
-
We look nervous and tense, hardly surprising on a number of levels. A goal would settle us right down and take all the bluster out of Wigan and their tosspot fans including the commentary team! COYR!
-
Referee could be a problem here, looks like he’s bought into the Wigan fairytale so far!

Saints U23s v Leicester U23s Match Thread (KO 7pm this evening)

In the ‘welcome’ video Reed and Wilson look like dodgy second hand car dealers in bad suits showing a prospective punter round their lot. I hope Hughes is like Strachan for us and finds his fit quickly, I also hope Gao pulls the trigger on the chancers that have undermined the club early in the summer! COYR! -
Pompey scum been allocated 700 seats for their big game at Oldham, could be like the Alamo in Manchester! I reckon we will win this 1-2 COYR!
-
Happy to see how Hughes gets on, imagine the club will too...
-
You're right Dalek, he should. He won't because he's a slippery chancer with no scruples...
-
Tell you what WC, true to character he can start with a brace against Wigan! Was he on your radar at all before January?

Jardim at Monaco (Current French manager of the year) signed Carrillo in July 2015 and in the last two and a half seasons played him 95 times, scoring 21 goals. On that basis he might not be a world beater but he can't be completely useless. Problem is that the lad is a panic buy, record signing, and previous manager's 'man' rolled into one. Best chance he's got would probably be for the new manager to start his tenure with Gabby and Long on the pitch, and look to see how Carrillo blends with them from the bench. Not ideal for a £19m player clearly but the Board allowing Pelligrino to spunk the entire Jan transfer budget on one panacea player is to thank for that.

He’d need to avoid grassy knolls...

Me too, or Howard Hughes. Sparky rightly not popular with Saints fans due to his previous but still light years ahead of the clown, and he’s a hardcase. Money has to be on Hughes or Silva, with the possibility of an old head like MoN, GH or WGS with a ‘keep us up’ remit. Whoever it is they will do better and we have to get right behind them!

Are you on crack?

If only we weren’t!

Very lucky man to have had a career in football, currently incredibly lucky that it’s continuing due to the inept insulated fools above him in the SFC food chain. Saints fans’ luck ran out when Koeman departed!
