Utter madness tempered with varying degrees of vanity and cowardice. Felt a definite down turn in player/fan despondency yesterday, an acceptance that we are gone and nowt to do with the opposition. The ineptitude of the Board in this matter is incredible and highlights that Reed and Krueger have been riding the Marcus Liebherr / Cortese wave to a greater extent than even cynics like me anticipated.
-
Not a chance unfortunately, I reckon if WBA beat us 10-0 Reed would still stand by his man - we are going down via a heady mix of ineptitude and vanity.

Toothless and Liverpool playing like they feel sorry for us!

Frankly Mr Shankly! See, they were even full of self-pity in the 1970s :-D

Good luck Ron, best man for the job!

Rat boy, by a country mile...

I'm very sure about that, as are my long-suffering Charlton supporting inlaws - they see Reed at Charlton as a peripheral figure in his first stint at the club, a Branfoot/Redknapp in the second - he is generally despised. When he arrived at Saints I was forewarned he was a 'self-interested chancer'. For perspective, Curbishley managed Charlton for fifteen years, starting in 1991, Reed replaced Steve Gritt as AC's assistant in 1995 and left in 1998 (two and a half years, and wasn't at Charlton in the Prem with AC during the salad days), Charlton under Curbishley had eight decent seasons in the Prem, and he was touted to manage Liverpool and England the season before choosing West Ham. Reed's second spell at Charlton started in Aug 2006 as Dowie's assistant, and when ID was sacked in the November, Reed was promoted as a caretaker manager and lasted six weeks - this was the disastrous spell when he was described in the media as 'clueless' and by fans 'the worst manager of all time'. His real talent is as a salesman, and a revisionist historian.

They all get one now, under Cortese it was a big watch...

Give it up Ralph!

If Krueger and Reed have any plan B, it's low cost - to replace Pellegrino now that the window has slammed shut and Gao's loot is secured. Last throw of the dice for Beaker and Bunsen!
-
On the money! Incredible recklessness, and hard to decipher any level of planning.
-
Makes you think that Gao and his Board would fight a bit harder to retain the club's position at the top table!

Get the f*ck in! Get him the f*ck in!...

Does a new manager improve the teams chances of survival?

This. The squad is decent and an experienced and credible manager who could get them focused and organised would get us points, though perhaps too late to prevent a real battle over the next few months. However, you put the likes of Strachan or O'Neill in charge and the fans would raise their game too - we'd have a good chance. The fact that the clowns on the Board can't see this is incredible and our relegation is now dependent to a large extent on Reed's idiotic vanity - awful situation! -
Promes will adopt the Theo Walcott sop for the masses role for the next fortnight right up until the point that he 'slips through our fingers'. Great player and just what we've needed since the Mane departure but I think we have more chance of signing Quincy Jones.

Big one was it? A whaler...

Pellegrino should have shown willing and visited for an extended sojourn of thirty years, I'm sure Mr Gao owns a suitable salt mine.

Spot on, and congregate outside SMS for the duration, lots of Sky coverage in real time.
-
In a nutshell, he simply has to go as we are in free fall.
-
Reed is very well paid to make key decisions regarding SFC and having got away with it at the start of his tenure he's been found wanting over this season and last. His stream of narcissistic bullsh*t during the successful spell didn't help and the majority of fans see him as a self-serving old chancer. West Ham would be a great retirement post.

Deluded. Fancy us to get away with a narrow loss in this one 1-0 - optimistic...

That was the winner of the longest whine rather than the loudest cheer!

Camara - here's the goal and roar!
