Saints vs Rotherham or Luton - 3rd Round Draw Thread
MongoNeil replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
I hope Leeds make it through to play Man Utd, would quite like to see Leeds get a tonking at Old Trafford. -
I think you're missing the point here! Rotherham's ground is being done up/rebuilt so they play their games at the Don-Valley athletics stadium in Sheffield. It's not a football ground by any means with only one covered stand. So even for Luton fans I wouldn't say they'd be too thrilled with a visit there.

woosh...

Ditto! Wish I'd read the comments before watching the clip....

Where do you expect Saints to finish this season?
MongoNeil replied to Pancake's topic in The Saints
Would be interesting to see what people are thinking now. I for one would increase my prediction but still think it'll be tough (but not unlikely) to reach the playoffs. At no point this season have I ever thought we would finish near the bottom, too much dross in this division. -
I agree, Pardew out!

Does anyone know if we can buy tickets on the day?

funniest overreaction of the year?

Shhhh, don't tell anyone about Markus. This is a good thing....
-
Harsh, but give it a few weeks and me & Ray will probably be spooning...
-
Or even better, replace Ray with some fitty who can do all the things that Ray can...

1. Laptop with internet access. 2. Some means of powering said laptop when the batteries run out, a solar panel or something similar. 3. Ray Mears to build some kind of tree-top dwelling and cook me meals from all the abundant wildlife he'd be able to catch.

Haha, yes, when you put it like that....

I just played Fifa 09 with Saints against Colchester. Quite an exciting game, 2-0 up at half time and cruising and then got Perry & James sent off in second half. Ended up 3-2 down when BWP (it's an old game) got fouled in the box, up steps Skacel to convert the pen. So an eventful 3-3, what are the chances of that happening for real? Incidentaly, Hammond got 2 of the Colchester goals.

The same reason you can't see any stars in the sky during the day on Earth I would imagine...

Let's make no mistake here, Stockport were truly awful. Their keeper looked really dodgy (almost put it his own net at one point) and the outfield players were not much better. So many miss-kicks and wayward passes. We really should be beating teams like this. For everyone bemoaning our fitness, this was not an issue. Their equaliser was more about the ref making up for having a horrendous game. What saddens me the most is to see just how far we've fallen, their ground and support (in terms of attendance) was ****...

Especially when you consider the total ground capacity is only 10k according to footballgroundguide.co.uk. But the guy at the ticket office said there were only 500 tickets left of our allocated 5000!
-
Just bought my tickets, 4.5k sold so far which seems quite a lot. We'll be training it up from Chester so intending to have a few beers somewhere...

There are some villages in the north where time hasn't moved for decades...

Yep, I was a couple of rows in front of you then. Didn't hear the words properly at first but sounded class.

Rasiak was taking a lot of flak from the guys around me and while he did put in a very lacklustre performance, as stated by other posters he had no service really. It still amazes me though that someone as tall as him was second to nearly every high ball. Lambert was up for it and used his strength to win the ball but had no support. I do feel that peoples criticism of Perry is a little unjustified. Thomas had such a poor game and was always out of position which meant Perry was trying to cover for him most of the game. Perry made some great tackles in my opinion. In short, to echo most peoples sentiment, we need a decent centre back, a decent ball winning central midfielder who can pick out a good pass and some pace up front, be that on the wings on down the middle. Be patient guys, AP will hopefully of noticed the same weaknesses and will work on them for Swindon.

Raining in Sheffield now. Just about to head up there...

I'll be in the area so hopefully going to the game but will be on my own. Anyone want to meet up for drink beforehand? First ever game on my own so feel like a bit of a billy...

Only 12 points from the top with 45 games to go
MongoNeil replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Did you just agree with yourself? -
Anyone know how many we're taking and how many we've been allocated. I might be in the area so will pay on the day I think. Anyone else going on their own that fancies a pint before the game?
