I guess part of it may be that the agents clubs speak to may already have players at the buying club. In which case it would be really hard to regulate. I'm sure when clubs are speaking about their own players with those agents, such as when contract extensions are being discussed, it becomes very easy for either party to divert onto discussions about other players.

That's interesting. I've often felt we need an old school "head it, kick it, block it" centre-back. Someone who could come from the lower leagues but still adapt well to the Premier League like Lewis Dunk did as Brighton moved through the leagues, for example.

If Bazunu does sign, and it looks like he will from reports, I still think there's space for a third keeper on the books otherwise we're only an injury from seeing Bycroft or Wright on the bench. I wouldn't be averse to Big Willy being kept on for a season, if he fancies it.

I'm hopeful with this one. The reviews of his time down the road are very positive and he's got 10 international caps at a young age. I look at the gamble Brighton took replacing the experienced, capable but ultimately limited Maty Ryan with Robert Sanchez mid-season in the season before last which could've ended with relegation but it worked and look at how he's doing now. One thing, though, I hope we get him disinfected before he joins up with the rest of the squad...

By "Saintsy", do you mean targeting a young player with potential to improve and be sold on for a tidy profit or targeting a player that ultimately we lose out to a Premier League rival? Both approaches are equally "Saintsy", I guess. 😃
