Thought trusting the process would come first

I agree but would take it one step further. Let's wait until the end of the transfer window before we smash the place up in anger and disappointment.
-
Yeah I always rated him and was surprised he dropped down the pecking order so much.

Just my personal opinion, Im very happy with 30m for Charles. If I had to pick my best starting eleven last season he wouldn't have been in it So chuffed to get that much money for him. Again, just my personal opinion and certainly nothing against him. And also, Che Adams back here ? Jo fking way. Some people have got very short memories on just how average he was. I really feel we can do better than that, and before some smart arse asks me who, I dont know. Its not my job.

Sorry if Ive missed this but why has is taken this long for this to happen. Why not as soon as the league finished so we could plan ?

If you insist but youll need to supply your own lube. Need to meet me halfway.

Ah no, I skipped that. Too obvious.

OMG I can't stand him. He actually makes me want to leave the room. He says the most blindingly obvious statements you can possibly think of. So thick and I haven't heard one insightful original comment from him. Glad youre pleased though ๐

I watched that with my Argentinian wife who was actually so embarrassed about what went on in that game she was actually relieved that Spain won it. When it was 0 - 0 she said how ashamed she was at their approach to the match.
-
Agreed, nothing in the game till we scored, then Scaloni made some great tactical changes that we simply couldnt cope with. Anyway, as always its about perception.
-
Even before we had all the defenders on they were swarming all over us. He had to make a choice and made the decision that has worked in the past. We simply dont have the type of player that has the same type of technical ability that the argies or Spanish have who can take a touch, find space and release pressure. Again, just how i see it.

Gonna make myself unpopular here but I dont necessarily blame Tuchel for the defeat. The harsh reality is that we dont sit on the top table of footballing nations. Argentina were just very very impressive in that last 35 minutes and showed what champions are made off and not forgetting it also helps when you have arguably the greatest footballer of all time in your side. A player that elevates every person around you. After the goal they took it up a level that we couldnt deal with and you can deconstruct the situation and find this or that wrong with the minutae of game, but fair play to Scaloni for changing the style and tactics for that last hour. He got one over Tuchel there in fairness but we just couldn't get the ball off them and I could see why he made those subs. And if Argentina could do that to us then Spain would simply use us a plaything in the final. Anyway, thats how I saw it.

Never in million years

Looking at other peoples reactions on here there seems to be a real 50/50 split on this one. For me personally it's a backwards step ( much like his passing- sorry, couldnt help myself). We keep making these nostalgic signings with the same theory that they care about the club/cheap wages/etc etc but in all honesty never really work out. Its a nice idea to say we won loads of free kicks so, you know, JWP but he'd need to be on the pitch for that and Id be pretty pissed off if he were in ahead of Bragg Jander Azaz or Downes. Thats just how I see it. We need to move on. Ultimately if Im wrong and he comes and plays a pivotal role then great. I just want whats best for saints.

Ill be very happy if youre proved wrong. Nothing personal to do with you obviously. ๐

Been thinking about This a bit. In a perfect world, him out and the millwall fella in.

Well fuck my life !!! Amazing news

Is that true ?

The reason I disagree is because the media landscape has changed in the last ten years. If something looks bad, then the accused party just doubles down, and why not. People will shout stuff at us. So what. We'll have songs, memes, jokes at our expense. So what. You say regardless of ability, record, success but in the next paragraph, partially contradict yourself ( in my opinion) by saying " for the sake of southampton ", but that's EXACTLY the reason I voted early on for him to stay. For the good of southampton. For the results on the pitch. It pisses me off ( not you but the general media) how we're being fed to the dogs ( a little less now) but we've got Newcastled owners who literally butchered a journalist for telling a story. Man City owners who.....well we all know and God knows how many hedge fund managers that are part owners of clubs that have destroyed countless numbers of peoples lives with their greed and literal disregard for other human beings and the kleptomania of various oligarchs over the last 2 or 3 decades that have destroyed millions of lives which is conveniently forgotten about and Im meant to be worried about the reputation of southampton for some spying offenses ? Its just fucking ridiculous. Not having a dig at you, but a bit of perspective is needed.
