  1. For me) 1) The 3-2 at Spurs : firstly I managed to be there : secondly I absolutely detest spurs : and thirdly we were like 1970s Brazil that night. We absolutely destroyed them and without exaggeration we should have been 6 -1 up at halftime. Then they had their last minute equaliser scrubbed off. That night was magic for me. 2) league Cup final. In the 20 minutes after we equalised we had them on the rack and reallyreally let them off and the atmosphere In our end was something I'll never forget. 3) For me has to be the long winner in the semi at Anfield to get us there. Bedlam 4) Most of our games under Poch, my favourite manager. Watching us under him was a joy, we made teams suffer. 5) yeah top of the league, even for a short time
  2. Urgh, no Sulemana again. I guess he just attacks too much.
  3. I was at that game. Shit weather and an awful game of football if I remember correctly but was still great to see saints at Wembley . I preferred the semi second league at Stamford Bridge. le tiss scored a hat trick I think.
  4. Regarding those two points, firstly the red card. I think a lot of us fans remember the rules of a few years back where that decision is a 50/50 however these days its quite clear that with that type of challenge, however unintentional, is going to end with a red. Regarding the penalty, I'll just say what I've been saying to my mates the last couple of years....I really haven't got a clue what is and what isn't a penalty anymore so I just stay out of it.
  5. Typical
  6. Oh bloody hell, don't you start! 🤣😂
  7. Charlie wayman, why confused about my message ? If you just told me rather than leaving that emoji I could explain it to you.
  8. Yeah I agree with that. Especially like the midfield triumvirate of Jwp lavia and Charley, shame its gonna fall apart ( in my opinion)
  9. Yeah, you're gonna regret that
  10. Watching the game and was thinking, if we could have one player from any premier league team who would it be ? Haaland would be pointless as no one to supply him. Ederson, a really safe pair of hands? Virgil, tighten up the defence ? Casemiro to control the midfield and the flow of the game or someone like salah to make a goal out of nothing. Over to you lot. Forgive me, it's a Sunday and I'm bored.
  11. Bloody hell this is brilliant, Nearly makes me feel confident. It's better reading their forum than ours, they're actually making me feel better about being a saints fan.
  12. As we're 3 divisions above them and at home why wouldn't I expect us to score 2 or 3 goals ? I think 2 goals at home to Grimsby should be fairly realistic.
  13. I was actually looking forward to watching us tonight. I thought, naively, I could watch in relative comfort as we scored 2 or 3 goals, had a look at some of the players and assess our chances of staying up. In all honesty neither penalties should have stood, the first being a really obvious handball in the build up and the second one was just silly, but that's not the point. We couldn't even open up second division Grimsby and we're hoping to beat Premier league teams ??!! What a shambles we have become but like many people I've just become numb to it. Luckily I'm old enough where it doesn't bother me like it used to but we're in for a few more years of shite by the look of things.
  14. Hahahahahahhaha Oh mu fucking god
  15. Oh thank god for that. Can't stand those pricks. Always irritated me a little with their "" best fans in the country "" nonsense , but definitely my new go to hate club. At least one result went my way this weekend

    Ralph

I dont disagree with that in that it was obvious we needed more/ better forwards but I believe they tried and failed. My point was they were happy with a rookie goalkeeper and that's cost us dearly.

    Ralph

I think of all the things that made me raise my eyebrows during the summer was the gk situation. Part of me understands why they kept Ralph on. I also believe they tried their hardest to get a decent forward in but I couldn't understand why we put all out faith in an untried youngster in goal. We'd manage to scrape through in the last 2/3 seasons with two very dodgy keepers, mainly due to a lack of funds and inexplicably giving them new contracts. We finally have a bit of money to spend , we have a tonne of goalkeeper options we could have gone for and our main choice was a young boy who was expected to command respect and command his penalty area. That was an awful decision.
  18. To Be honest I wasnt sure if you were taking the piss or not but I really wasn't offended either way but ta for clearing up. All the best dude.
  19. Lol, maybe not then.
  20. I thought I'd let everyone else put 2 and 2 together 😉
  21. I've also noticed this about the site in the last few months. Far far less bickering and people are actually much more respectful to someone's else's point of view even if they don't agree. It feels more grown up and is much more a pleasure to be part of ( I'm sure some will disagree ) And also some of you are hilarious. Haven't laughed so much as I have on here during the last few weeks.
  22. Juninho scored loads as well
  23. Messi way out in front
  24. Meh. We're not exactly in a position to pick and choose so I'm happy to roll with it.
