Frightening thought isn't it.

Let's be honest, we don't need to visit the spurs forum to form an opinion of Winks. It's blindingly obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense that Winks is a long way away from what our squad needs. I mean way way waaayyyu down the pecking order.

Oh just seen the injurys
-
Wtf is that team !!!!

With just two games left of this season, Southampton are running out of time to stage their annual 9-0 drubbing: a wonderful festival of fun that sits nicely alongside Monty Python and The Fiver as one of this countryโs finest comedic traditions, oozing in both slapstick and classic British self depreciation. made me laugh from today's guardian

Funnily enough I'm watching the game and had exactly the same thought lol

Just to add my comment if anyone really cares. I've always been a Ralph fan and am incredibly grateful to him for all he's done for us under ridiculously tough circumstances and at times has had us playing very good football. I've never really wanted him to go before but for me also, I think it's time he leaves

Lol. It's so Saints. Play really well against the good teams then drop loads of winnable points. At least we're safe with 10 games to go. Feels like they're on the beach already. Just need man City to do us in the Q final and see you all next season.

I do hope you're right and I love your positive thinking ๐

Erm.........no. I wouldn't have thought so. That's the thought that ran thru my head about 5 seconds after he scored.

Solid win against a poor team ,( we also made them look poor). OR was MoM even before the goal. Shouts out to KWP and Stu.

Always remember when we took 10,000 to Selhurst to play Wimbledon needing a win to stay up. That was pretty special for me.
-
Probably my favourite ever season. Honestly, the quality of goals we scored that season was ABSURD. We could have had a GOTS contest for the league featuring only Saints goals. F**k you Robert Rosario ๐๐๐๐

Love squires

I really cant see this happening but would take him in a heartbeat

Come on mate, please dont start any post like that. I actually agree you on most of the rest of it but if you start a post like that its immediately divisive and theres not really any need for it. I hate the petty bickering on here, its so tiresome and that opening comment is exactly the sort of thing that sets things off. There is no them lot and us lot. We all love saints and we're all entitled to our opinion. Anyway, didnt mean to have a go but just wanted to say that.

Do you think its him finally realising or possibly the fact the squad depth has helped him this year ? Ive always been a fan of his even tho some of his decisions have totally baffled me but I can't help but think that having such a poor squad has left him with his hands tied at certain times. Im thinking - but could obviously be wrong - that theres a correlation between him being more tactically flexible and having a bigger, better squad.

Lambert because a true legend. Ings probably the most naturally gifted finisher of the lot. Gabbiadini. So talented but came to us under an ultra defensive manager and was criminally underused, I thought. I suppose it has to be Pelle, but I hated the fact he was such a drama queen.

Yeah, same for me as most people on here. JWP easily MoM for me. First touch in congested areas was perfect and always seemed to be a split second ahead of the opposition when moving the ball on. Also had great awareness of his teammates around him also. Diallo and OR next to him were also very impressive. The 3 of them controlled the match. Bit of a shame about Perauds crossing but I think that will come. Lyanco still worries me a bit. Great heart and all that, but theres definitely a few rash mistakes in him. Also great from Broja, led the line very well. It did feel that we didnt have to really break them down to beat them, if we'd conceded those 4 goals we'd all be really pissed off. Anyway, the table looks lovely at the moment and I cant help but feel we're going to enjoy the second half of the season more than the first half. Enjoy the win everyone.

HE'S ONLY 41 !!!!!!!! ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ Ive wasted my life.

CR7 by an ABSOLUTE country mile. Ive actually discovered a new found hatred for Man U this season ( who tbh, have never really bothered me in the past) solely because of him. Its his self importance. His preening. His posing when about to take a freekick. THAT goal celebration. The petulance when things dont go his way. The lack of being a real leader. The gullibility of some areas of the media ( not entirely his fault this one) falling for his " leadership skills"... And none of this greatest player of all time nonsense. Greatest goalscorer ever ? Possibly, but certainly not greatest player. Its just all about his legacy......bet you regret asking now. Also, JT and Joey " reading Neitzsche and eating sushi in the park " Barton are worthy of mentions. Proper white trash scumbags.

Also, hands up everyone who likes having a left footer at left back !!!

Have to be honest, couldnt watch the second half. Bad for my anxiety. So I will say this, great first half performance- much to my surprise - from everyone. Some will complain about Salisu being rash and fair enough but his first card was never a yellow. What makes this doubly satisfying is that we didnt break the record of most goals conceded in a calendar year and even if we dont beat Newcastle, 4 points against West ham and spurs was not 4 points that I was expecting. Fantastic stuff.
