Yeah this was pretty much what I was thinking watching the game. He looked great, but we've done really well with KWP so I have no complaints.
-
I tend to agree with this. I think its incredibly tough for a player whos had very little playing time to come to a new team halfway thru a season and have a big impact. At first I was very excited when he came to us but Like most people my disappointment grew, however I do believe, for the reason I stated that he should be given more of a chance once hes settled and become a little more used to the way we play. I do believe that there is a talented player in there. I know as fans we all want to see an immediate result but sometimes, for certain players you need a bit of patience. Hopefully hes one of those players.

Not sure why people are upset JWP is missing out. Im chuffed hes having a break.

Hi mate, Just to let you know, Ive got a lifelong friend, who doesnt BS me, very close to all the players and senior management at spurs ( was even on the amazon docu) and hes been telling me for years what an unpleasant piece of work Rose is. Not just despised by the other players but also by all the clubs backroom staff. Really not ideal for changing room unity.

Dont rwally think we deserved to lose that, but you can see how much better their forwards are compared to ours. Theyve got players who can make something out of nothing. Quite simply........we havent

Having said that Vests sending off against Leicester.........WTAF !!!!

Cash handball for me all day. I mean, it was blatant, even the Villa fans were saying so. Also If we get that and score the penalty i think we win that game as we were the beater team and it would also stop us having that awful run. I still feel like punching myself in the face thinking about that decision. It was at that point that I realised I dont understand the rules of football anymore.

You see, I dont get this. He really isnt an acceptable player for the premier league for the reasons that I mentioned on this thread two days ago. Im not someone who flipflops on my opinion of him also. Hes a winger who can't beat a defender. Who can't finish a one on one. He goes half heartedly into challenges, but to be honest, the list goes on, but the one thing, the one thing that constantly stands out, the one thing that i believe makes the difference between the premier league and the leagues below, is the decision making and he nearly always chooses the wrong decision. Out of evetything that I see in a top flight game, thats one of the things that i find most unforgivable, especially by someone of his experience. Watch yesterdays game ( itll be the same as most of his for the past 18 months). He was frustratingly appalling, and Id also like to add that I played the game to semi pro level ( Im no Pep) but I know a little bit of what Im talking about. Hes not a premier league player anymore.

As football fans, I feel we can all be a little fickle at times - the two go hand in hand - but altho he was once POTY, he has been an empty shirt for quite some time. He has one good game against a championship team and a couple of " he did alright " games and fans forget how awful he has been in the preceding 30 - 40 games. For me, if we can get a fee, he needs to move on. A winger should have you on the edge of your seat and with Redmond Im expecting him to lose the ball or pass it backwards, and Im normally bang on. Even Djenepo, who lets be honest, no one knows whats gonna happen next, including him, is preferable in that position. For me, thanks for the years but time to go, if poss. Hes not Premier league quality any more but Id be willing to take a punt on a few championship players who might be.

Well.......you say that, as enjoyable as that was to watch, part of me is disappointed. I like to see them get into the play offs every year, kinda of raises their hopes bless em, and then you just sit back and watch their annual play off F up. Oh well.....shouldnt complain I suppose.
-
Apparently.....and Im only quoting what I read, they were willing to let him go for 17m. Not sure if we could afford it, but was quite keen on him playing wide also or even coming inside and linking midfield with attack as thats something we can all see that we need.

Oxlade chamberlain anyone ?

Lots of good players

Part of me agrees with this. It wasnt even seeing the gulf in class between the two starting 11s. Did you see their bloody bench compared to us !!

Hello mate Not having a dig as Im not into tit fir tat pettiness, but you have tarnished everyone with the same brush a little. Sure, there are plenty of people who will watch the news, go, oh thats terrible and just carry on eating their dinner without a second thought, or in this case, sign a form to feel virtuous, but in response to your comment there are plenty of people who change their lifestyles because of this sort of info or petition. I know this because Im one of them. Certain foods I wont eat, companies I wont buy from ( altho amazon have me by the bollocks which upsets me) companies I wont travel with etc. Ive been like this for nearly two decades. Does it affect their trading standards ? Well some cases, yes it does. Most specifically, altho i dont eat there, macdonalds changed a lot of their policies on the back of super size me, so kudos to them. My point is, more and more people are becoming better informed about dodgy, ethically immoral standards and I believe there is always a place to start. I think we can all agree we want to live in a better world and it all has to start somewhere. Normally with ourselves. ( nod to Gandhi there ) ,😊

The Kardashians 😂😂😂😂

Its the last point most definitely for me. They have owners who genuinely give a shit.

Ok thanks

Ive missed the whole game but noticed KWP isnt on. What happened ?
-
Yeah, fair enough. I think, certainly in Valerys case though, that some people would rather have him there than a cb out of position. I know JWP can play there but I thought they would have seen our injury list and decided it would be too risky to bank on him playing there.

Can anyone give me a genuinely decent reason why we let both back up fullbacks leave. I know this has been mentioned a few times on here, but for the life of me I cant fathom a reason. Its completely lacking any common sense so maybe some knows for sure why we let this happen. Its just such a Mickey mouse move that I struggle to get my head around.

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?
Hawkswood replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
This for me also. I was 12 years old and this happened to be my first season watching us home and away. That qpr game being my first away game. We were brilliant to watch......shocking defending, but hey, thats Saints innit. Also a mention to my favourite ever Matty goal. I know everyone has their own favourites, but for me it was his second against Norwich at home. Left 3 defenders looking completely lost. Can watch that all day long. Christ......some of the goals we scored that season. -
Never a penalty

I played semi pro for years ( not that Im claiming to be some sort of authority) but I think having been part of a decent playing level for years is that the one thing that normally screwed us in this situation was changing formation. Thats something you should only ever do as a last resort as it throws everyone out of sync. They dont know their positions, they lose runners etc. Having been part of this for years it was always and only as a last resort but Im sure someone will see it differently. Thats just been my experience.
