For some reason Ferguson Jnr at Peterborough. Something about him makes me want to put my foot thru his face.
-
Yeah, got to agree with this. We were 2 up against the run of play and they had so many chances ( in the first half mainly down to our sloppiness). Its never nice to lose from that position but Im not devastated about the final score. Theyve got so much more quality than us its riduculous, but they are who they are and we are who we are. As has already been mentioned a few times on here, when youve got someone like Cavani as an impact sub and we chuck on Long, I mean what can you do. Its nice to be in a good position in the league so it doesnt hurt or worry me too much.

I think we're all going to agree that we're happy with a point there. I didn't realise how tough Wolves are to break down. We seemed to be afraid to play quicker forward passes at times, but really no complaints about the performance. Vest my MoM.

Who else keeps singing we are top of the league to themselves ? Its the first thing I did when I woke up.
-
Its essentially the same as the Everton game. We just swarmed all over them and steam rollered them out of the game. They couldnt deal with us. Cant believe Im saying that about the Saints. Enjoy the game.

Once again, so many players you can pick for MoM, the very definition once again of the team playing for each other. Armstrong would edge it for me. Still can't believe we're top of the league, for however long. We totally deserve the praise for the way we're playing at the moment. Also, someone on here mentioned it a few days ago, but I think Bertrand was obviously a bigger loss than Ings today. Felt very stifled down our left, didnt it. Anyway, what a very satisfying few days to be alive.

Tbh, Im feeling quite positive about this. Obviously hes a miss, but as has been stated a number of times we can share the goals around which has been happening. On top of that, imagine if we do keep playing well and winning games. Theres no reason we wont, I mean we wont win all of them but if we do pick up points whilst Ings is out itll be a great boost to have him back whilst the team is still firing Im a glass half full kind of guy. By feeling positive I also mean that my initial thought when I saw him go down was that he was done for the season.
-
Yeah I just saw that. What a knobhead
-
I, for one, am loving your positivity. 👍 However Im a little bit more nervous, especially with Dannys reaction to it. Its gonna be a long 24 hours til we find out.
-
Why is it weve won away and scored 4 goals yet Im really bloody irritated to concede 3. Bit annoying how we fell away after the fourth.
-
What really really hacked me off was their perspective of the first goal. Oh yes, they let the player drift. They switched off. Terrible marking. Horseshite. Nothing about him moving into space and losing his marker. Nothing about the lovely flick in the first place. Nothing about the great one two or the perfect thru ball. All they focused on were Everton mistakes. Couple of dullards !!

Wow, what a team performance. How you pick a MoM from that is beyond me. Cant think of one bad performer. What a cracking win which I didnt see coming. COYS
-
Christ. Imagine if we'd got relegated with all that lot still on the wage bill. Doesn't bear thinking about.
-
Urgh........Walcott. Thats ruined my deadline day excitement.
-
For me, really solid performance throughout. I thought Armstrong was really tidy in the midfield but KWP was excellent today. Dont think he put a foot wrong. However OR gets player of the season by default for that volley.

Thats what I was thinking

Okay....Ive been debating with myself whether or not to put this on here as Ive seen some of the stick some people get. Im no itk whatsoever, however, a few days ago a lifelong friend of mine text me to say great signing. I asked him what he was talking about. My friend is VERY well connected at one of the top 6 clubs. I mean regularly chats with the chairman, manager, players etc. Has all their numbers etc and still in contact with some players that leave. I cant tell you what he does there cos I shouldnt even be telling you this... So when i said what signing he said RLC. I said I dont think we can afford his wages and he said oh ok. I asked him where he has heard this and he said youll laugh when I tell you. Obvs he told me, it came straight from the managers mouth. Thats it, thats all Ive got. Dont know whether it will happen......Waiting for some abuse....

Herman Munster 😂😂😂😂

No shooting down here. All fair points for me.
-
Yup, absolutely. Youre just waiting for it to happen.
-
Thats exactly it for me also. Im so tired of my club being run like a mickey mouse outfit. Ive had nearly 40 years of it. When I was younger I would become irate. These days I just shrug, feel completely apathetic Ive got more important things in my life to get more upset about ( altho it takes many years of frustration to get to that point). Im not asking or expecting my club to get out and blow billions, but like others have said, we knew our cm was leaving, surely any business/club run properly would think, yeah, we might need to strengthen there. How could something so blindingly obvious to everyone not be seized upon. And it happens time after time after time. Its honestly a bit embarrassing.

Like a few others I knew this was coming after the last two games so also went to play golf. My brother watched it tho, and without any hint from me he said, "" the first 44 minutes your lot were unplayable........whats up with that high line though ""..........ermmmm.
-
Oh. My. God. This is like bloody groundhog day. ( Not digging at anybody on here cos youre all right). No news from the club. No mention of signings. No money. Crap start to the season. Desperately wishing to sign our ex players. All expectation killed after the first week. Oh to be a saints fan. I feel like punching myself in the face.

My highlight of the weekend was just watching the spurs game when PEH booted it out of play. Neville " oh thats awful from Holjberg". I was wetting myself particularly as Ive got a few good mates who are spurs fans and they were telling me hes the missing piece. I would say to them, chaps, hes really not very good. Then they would get a little condescending and point at his stats, to which I would reply, dont let the stats fool you, they dont tell the full story. Then they would claim I was just bitter that he had gone to a bigger club and they had managed to flog their bitpart fullback to us, regardlessof the fact I would tell them I was happy with the signing. Plus 3m. Ahhhh, schadenfreude.
