Ive got to say, Im reading the comments on the Guardian website ( please dont judge me, their football write ups are very good) and fwiw, the Man U fans are astounded at the level of refereeing and VAR decisions. They generally think its a complete farce and are also hammering Martial for the dive. Fair play to them.
-
It wasnt 10 ? Thats all Ive got.
-
Not for me. Im quite chuffed about this.
-
Huh, good point that
-
Christ, well remembered. that was insane, however I have one that might beat it but its a close run thing. South Korea v Italy, world cup quarter final 2002. Now THAT was bent.
-
Come on mate, bit harsh to say we deserve to be losing
-
I never comment on match threads but wtaf was that non penalty about. How fking blatant do they want

Like it or not, Leicester are a step above us. Look at their squad and spending compared to us. Theyve got a great set up, play attacking football, have a good manager and are continually on the brink of european football. It might ba hard for some Saints fans to admit it, but of course going there would be a good move.

Hello mate and welcome. Tbh, I obviously dont want him to leave but a lot of us are expecting it, so if he were to leave Id much rather it be to you than Spurs. I fking hate Spurs and Ive got nothing but good will towards Leicester. Christ.......if only we had your owners.......makes all the difference. Good luck and thanks for posting in a respectful way.

Im sorry to carry on the Long bashing, but in a team full of kids, how can he look the least impressive forward on display. Admittedly this is my own point of view and Im sure some others will see it differently. Its just that with his experience, youd think hed be the one showing the composure, but it just never seemed that way to me. Shame hes ending his Saints career this way. I think Ralph chose the starting 11 wisely today. Experience all thru the middle making us solid and youth everywhere else. JWP probably MoM for me.

I think you can look at it another way. Sure, some fans will take the piss : let them enjoy, but the flipside of that is cameraderie and bond that could well develop from that moment between him and the players and also him and the fans that will then again relay itself onto the players. I dont think there is a bad angle there, if anything bringing everyone in the club closer together, especially on match days. I mean, Im not a qualified therapist so I dont know. Its just a thought.

Wow, that was a tough watch, but I suppose to be expected with the spine of our team out. I really wanted Diallo to have a better game but he looked a bit lost and a bit swallowed up today. Long feels like an empty shirt. I expect a better West Ham team to take full advantage of our threadbare squad.
-
Yeah thats fair enough. I know we play a relatively unique system but its his decision making that bothers me and its the sort of decisions that SHOULD come down to experience. Look, Im more than happy to be proved wrong and I suppose when you look at the options that we had when it comes to signing a forward to cover our current players, it really wasnt a bad decision. Dont get me wrong, Im really not completely damning him, just a little disappointed at times.

Yeah, this is where different people see different things. I found Theo frustrating again today. Yes he got in between the lines as I believe is essentially his job as a number 10, but Id like to think a player of his experience would know when to release the ball, which he doesn't and especially when to watch the defensive line and make his run. Thats the thing that bothers me most but its football and we all have our different perspectives. Chuffed with the whole team though, obviously.

Theo was starting to annoy me. Great performances from Vest, KWP, and OR, but Che Adams is a f**king football genius. What a great all round footballer hes turning into.

How long til djenepo gets that second yellow !

For some reason Ferguson Jnr at Peterborough. Something about him makes me want to put my foot thru his face.

Yeah, got to agree with this. We were 2 up against the run of play and they had so many chances ( in the first half mainly down to our sloppiness). Its never nice to lose from that position but Im not devastated about the final score. Theyve got so much more quality than us its riduculous, but they are who they are and we are who we are. As has already been mentioned a few times on here, when youve got someone like Cavani as an impact sub and we chuck on Long, I mean what can you do. Its nice to be in a good position in the league so it doesnt hurt or worry me too much.
-
I think we're all going to agree that we're happy with a point there. I didn't realise how tough Wolves are to break down. We seemed to be afraid to play quicker forward passes at times, but really no complaints about the performance. Vest my MoM.
-
Who else keeps singing we are top of the league to themselves ? Its the first thing I did when I woke up.
-
Its essentially the same as the Everton game. We just swarmed all over them and steam rollered them out of the game. They couldnt deal with us. Cant believe Im saying that about the Saints. Enjoy the game.
-
Once again, so many players you can pick for MoM, the very definition once again of the team playing for each other. Armstrong would edge it for me. Still can't believe we're top of the league, for however long. We totally deserve the praise for the way we're playing at the moment. Also, someone on here mentioned it a few days ago, but I think Bertrand was obviously a bigger loss than Ings today. Felt very stifled down our left, didnt it. Anyway, what a very satisfying few days to be alive.

Tbh, Im feeling quite positive about this. Obviously hes a miss, but as has been stated a number of times we can share the goals around which has been happening. On top of that, imagine if we do keep playing well and winning games. Theres no reason we wont, I mean we wont win all of them but if we do pick up points whilst Ings is out itll be a great boost to have him back whilst the team is still firing Im a glass half full kind of guy. By feeling positive I also mean that my initial thought when I saw him go down was that he was done for the season.
