This I suspect is the main problem. The two that I liked the look of Moffi - wanted to stay in France- and the Genk fella - why on earth would he come to us - other than that I struggle to think of anyone else ( admittedly that's not my full time job) but it was quite telling that the Italian bloke from Milan who bompey were after categorically said he didn't want to go there. We probably have the same issues.

Gonna have to disagree with most of you and say I was really happy either that second half. It looked like we had a bit about us ( except for a cf). Gonna give jones credit for putting salisu at left back who I thought had a really solid game and I'm left with a bit of hope after that second half showing. Good cameos by armstrong and edozie ( shame hes so lightweight) and good performances by DCC Salisu and Alcaraz. Rest were average. Kwp better in the second half. The thing is, when they can bring on Subs of the likes of Saint maximan and isak, well, we can't really compete with that. It is what it is. But as I say, I'm feeling much more positive than about 90% of the people on here.

Was flicking through the comments here and can't believe the negative comments about Bazunu. He literally hasn't done one thing wrong. I'm not saying it's going to stay that way but give him a break. Normally I'm a fan of Djenepos endeavour but he's driving me mad tonight. He was making no runs into space and flicks to no one when we need to control the ball. You could see at one point when walker Peters was coming forward and he was asking him to make the run and he just stood there. In the end WP had to cut back. I'm pleased he's gone off. Alcaraz looks decent. As does Mara. Would like orsic more in the game. Diallo is pissing me off and for those people moaning we have no control in the middle, that's what 50m quid buys you. Guimares is untouchable. Wish the fucker was injured.

He certainly won't. That first touch of his is ridiculous. Reminds me of some of the recent greats like pirlo, xavi or iniesta where he receives the ball under pressure and with one touch or a drop of the shoulder finds himself with a yard or two of space to play the pass. Ridiculously talented.

Maybe I'm being a bit naive here, but wouldn't us signing a Croatian International Midfielder, the most vaunted of all positions in their national team, be a major coup for Saints and thus by doing so would make other prospective signings sit up and take notice and think, hmmm, this club mean business. Make us a more attractive proposition?Surely signing him would elevate the club ? As I say, maybe I'm being a bit naive.
