Just IMO, Ive always found Carrick very uninspiring as a manager. Hasn't really ever achieved anything and has never really even taken the championship by storm. A good run here and there but really nothing to shout out about. I think he's living off of his reputation as a player tbh. I'd prefer GON, but realistically if that's going to piss off half the fan base then that's a risky way to start off.

I liked Will a lot more than Martin or the Welsh knob, so a bit gutted it didn't work out for him but with the squad at his disposal it should have been a lot lot better than it was. Shame

Im actually starting to believe this more and more. I very much disliked the Welsh lunatic but he did hint at being told what to do.....and people have been mentioning it more and more on here. Surely it cant be a coincidence that manager after manager has failed. We've got a good squad for this level so its either the managers fault - again - or there really is something going on behind the scenes. Mind you, we have hired some awful managers and I hoped Still would be different.

I wonder if other fans forums have this infatuation with having old players back. Maybe they do, I really dont know, but ffs can we please stop doing it. Does it ever work out when it's a player ? If it does it must be very rare. Yes, he did a job for us ( as such) but he never drove the midfield on, it was always going square, he held our game back, he slowed us down. Yes a good " club man" but a very limited player, who, lets be honest, were it not for his set pieces would've struggled to get into the starting 11. Hes not a defensive midfielder, most definitely not an attacking midfielder, he just recycles the ball. That's it. That's not a good midfielder but most importantly we really need to stop old players coming back here. Enough of the nostalgia.

I think that was always going to be a tough game and we did well to hold on. Other than going sideways a lot I dont think we were that bad in the first half. Anyway, it gets us on our way hopefully. I would also like to know why Fellows was hooked at HT. That was weird.

Reading the thread it looks like i might be on my own here but.........I didn't think we were that bad. Christ the shite ive seen us serve up the last few years is far worse than this. My main gripe is that we're going sideways instead of forwards. We've got the players to hurt any team, they just need to show some bollocks. Oh and Quarshie got done far too easily.

Obviously I'd like us to win the next two games but even if we dont Im still quite relaxed. For me I've seen a few important moments from Still that I really like. It takes time to mold a team into what you want. Not always, but normally. I think at some point soon we're going to go on a run and win a lot of games, so even if we don't win tomorrow or at the weekend I feel quite relaxed about it and I wish people would stop mentioning about Still being sacked. Its just a bit silly.

Was thinking this last night. How does it work with cutting short a loan ? Could he come back ? Is he even on the bench for them ? I haven't really looked.
