  1. Pep does a lot of that after the final whistle. He often 'has a word' with an opposition player who he thinks should have been shown a card or sent off. Yesterday he had a stop watch, just to make sure he wasn't being denied a nanosecond of play. I don't like that side of him. Unless you were a City fan, I reckon the whole country were behind Palace. I just wish Forest could have been in the final with them and not entitled City. Great to see a different name on the FA Cup. Long may it continue.
  2. Ramsdale for me. We would have an even worse goal difference without him as we will likely find out next season.
  3. That came across very clearly in the programme. Grown men in tears recalling that day. I was especially moved by the lady who waved her husband and 2 sons off to watch the match and never saw them again. I don't know how you come back from that and I hope I never have to find out.
  4. Unforgotten. The Bradford City Fire on BBC2 is a sobering reminder of that awful day. The club had been through some awful times with very real concerns that they would not survive. In 1985 they gained promotion to Division 2 and paraded the trophy around the ground before kicking off their final game of the season. What should have been a wonderful day to celebrate became one to remember for all the wrong reasons. 40 years on and the scenes of how the fire took hold that day still have the power to shock. The sheer speed from a few wisps of smoke to a blazing inferno engulfing the entire stand took just 5 minutes. The blaze had started from a discarded cigarette end falling through the gaps in the floorboards to ignite rubbish underneath the seats. The wooden stand stood no chance. Doors were locked to stop people getting in for free and it was here that the majority of the bodies were found. 56 people died that day with hundreds more injured, some severely. This tragedy brought about huge changes to sports stadiums. Concrete replaced wood and doors had to be either manned or able to be opened from the inside. The treatment of burns learned new skills from this disaster too. The people of Bradford feel that day has been forgotten. It is the Hillsborough's we remember. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
  5. Everton won't be letting us spoil their last match at Goodison.
  6. He needs to have a look at the last couple of seasons that Forest had. Nuno has done wonders with that club. I hope he gets Manager of the Year but I suppose that's going in the direction of Anfield. I don't like to see people get bawled out in public. No need for it.
  7. We now hold the record for being relegated from the Premier League in the shortest time. Great. That's a record that will stick with Saints for a while. (Good to know we're quick at something). I can't see us getting that elusive point so I have stopped fretting about it. If we get lumbered with Derby's record surely nobody can say we don't deserve it. This has been the worst season in my memory. Shambolic football played by the most unfit team in the League, overseen by 4 hopeless managers and the worst owners we have ever had.
  8. Exactly this. Gets the message across.
  9. I did watch the video for what it was worth. In 2002 we had no idea there was a dark side to Rolf Harris but we do now. I think you could have found many examples of 'Bouncing Back' without any mention of a convicted paedophile which most people would find insulting.
  10. Rolf Harris!!! That's the most appropriate analogy you can come up with?
  11. Exactly. It tells you all you need to know when Kai Havertz is still their top scorer with 9 goals after he has been out injured for 3 months.
  12. As opposed to the 162 we have let in.
  13. Sounds like someone is copying Jim Ratcliffe's antics at Man U. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
  14. Those were the days. Great manager and players with fight and pride.
  15. Exactly. I haven't seen any of that this season. Ipswich, who are already relegated, fought back to get an equaliser at Everton.
  16. Pleased to see Lallana and Vardy having a chuckle at full time. Still, why should they worry. Still getting their big, fat salaries. This bodes well for next season. Those expecting a repeat of our last Championship stint, think again.
  17. Neither a Reform voter or a juvenile.
  18. It's like re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.
  19. Starmer has the record for the least days in the UK of any PM in his first term. Trump is rumoured to be having a colonoscopy soon. Maybe Starmer is up there.
  20. Gabbiadini's disallowed goal, wrongly ruled offside by Mr. Magoo who was running the line didn't help.
  21. I wasn't comparing an autistic teenager to one with transgender concerns. I was just saying that toilets for neuro diverse are available in some places so there should not be a problem with designated toilets for transgender people. I agree with you that 13 is way too young.
  22. That's what I said but with the recent Supreme Court ruling transgenders will no longer be able to compete in women's events but should be able to take part in transgender categories.
  23. I agree with a lot of what you have said but I feel there is a worrying trend towards younger and younger boys and girls deciding they are in the wrong body. My 13 year old granddaughter has a boy in her class who maintains he is a girl. Perhaps he is meant to be a girl and may, one day, live as one but does he know that for sure at just 13? There should be a place for everyone in this world and transgenders should have their own toilets and safe spaces. There are already toilets for neuro-diverse so it can be done. Today the Scottish FA have stated that they are banning transgenders from women's football. I think that is right but they need to have sports open to transgenders to compete like for like. Transgenders should not be excluded but steps need to be taken and quickly for them to live as they have chosen and to be able to compete in sports if they so wish.
  24. Liverpool had a charmed season. No major injuries and the remainder of the Big Six, City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and United have all had an average to awful season.
  25. I won't be bothering with a paper tomorrow. I can do without the media circus surrounding Liverpool and don't want to read about the cheats getting to the Cup final.
