Am I alone in being very worried that Muhammad has been announced as the top boy's name in the UK?
-
A future! What as? Advertising Wash & Go for floppy fringes? He'd make a bog of that too.
-
I think Rasmus said 'If it ain't broke, consider breaking it'. Sticks to his word, doesn't he?
-
It's early days but there is a bit of daylight between 17th and the bottom 3. It will be interesting to see Wolves reaction to losing to another bottom half team. Will they do an SR and pretend everything is fine or sack O'Neil before the New Year?
-
That was a hard time right enough but I don't remember being as concerned about our future as I am right now. I still had a glimmer of faith that things would improve. Nowadays, I am struggling to see any positives. Southampton is like a rudderless ship. SR appear not to care and have made some catastrophic signings with managers since Ralph went. If things don't change soon we will be back down in the Championship and don't lets kid ourselves that the likes of Dibbling, Downes and Harwood-Bellis will be coming with us. We will be relying on SR's coup of the summer, BBD!

Southampton FC must be a laughing stock across all levels in football. The only ones who can't see the joke are us long suffering fans.
-
Exactly this. In the 50+ years as a supporter I don't know when I felt so much concern about the future of my beloved Saints. It would be nice if SR came out and spoke to the supporters about what exactly is going on, especially RM's consistent failure to actually be a manager. SR's silence is an insult to each and every one of us.

And poor Russell's hair do!

SR and RM are a disastrous pairing. I don't think any of them even care and probably have a good laugh at any criticism from the loyal supporters because, of course, they know best. In my 50+ years as a fan I don't think I have ever felt such concern for the future of my beloved Saints. I don't know what it will take to sack RM. We must be a laughing stock. I can't think of any other club in such a dire situation sticking with a manager who thinks everything is great when it is clear to everyone else that it most certainly is not. Under him I cannot see where the points are coming from for the remainder of the season. Certainly not in the next 2 games, Villa and Spurs. Happy Christmas!

Good grief. I remember that lot, yet all these 3 rolled into 1 don't come close to the way I feel about Russell Martin. From his floppy hair, to playing out the back, to his deranged post-match interviews accompanied by that patronising sneer, he is the worst manager we have ever had and by heck, there's a long list. Villa and Spurs next. Rinse and repeat. How far off Derby's record are we?

What an utter embarrassment is Jack Stephens. There we are rock bottom of the League and our esteemed CAPTAIN behaves like that. What a prat.
-
He brought in Clive Woodward. A man who played with the wrong shaped balls.
-
I wonder if SR have the money they would need to pay off his contract which runs to the summer of 2027. It would cost several million, surely.
-
If Chelsea can make it look easy against Villa what will they do to us?
-
Is Cornet injured? I haven't seen much of him.
-
No mention of BBD on these posts? Surely Dobbin will be our saviour in this match with his silky skills, tactical nous and goalscoring ability. What are we worrying about?

I saw Blitz last week. It isn't likely to win any top awards but was an ok film. However, the trailer for Conclave looked very good. If I can see past Ralph Fiennes being a Roman Catholic cardinal instead of Voldemort I will be ok. It has 5* reviews.
-
My heart sank when BBD came on. He has all the finesse of a carthorse and his new haircut is every bit as naff as he is. One of our worst signings.
-
Brighton had a poor second half so perhaps that's why we looked better. I agree with the tippy tappy rubbish. It drives me mad.
-
What was the score? Is it a good or bad omen with you going out to the same event? 🤞

What I don't understand is why RM was handed an extended contract on promotion from the Championship. Was he coming to the end of his current one? Because if he wasn't, why did SR not wait to see how he would cope with Premier League football instead of tying him to us until the summer of 2027. I think that's the reason he hasn't been sacked. SR can't afford to pay him off so we are stuck with him. He said it all for me on Sunday's post-match interview. Looking down his nose at the interviewer and when asked about our constant playing out from the back and gifting goals, replied, "No" when anyone else asked that question would be saying "Yes". RM isn't fit for purpose but I doubt we will have the good news of his departure any time soon because SR cannot afford to sack him. Brighton, Chelsea, Villa and Spurs up next. Happy Christmas!!!

A very worrying state of affairs. This weekend's football matches have seen 6 of the teams just above us pick up points. We are 4 points adrift and I cannot see where the points are coming from any time soon.

McCarthy in goal means one thing. Prat about in the goal area when he doesn't have the skills. Just kick it up the pitch. lad and what exactly was he doing for their 2nd goal? Salah had done nothing much up to that point but with an open goal in front of him that gave him the impetus to score and up his game. Ramsdale out until Christmas. Heaven help us. -
