For any of these deals that we're currently negotiating with Liverpool, WHU, Newcastle etc - can we please enquire about one of their keepers on loan or permanent. We cannot persist with the current two if we want promotion. Sell McCarthy and bring in a new number 1 who Baz can compete with
-
What do you honestly expect when we field a team with McCarthy, Lyanco (who should be gone by now), Charles (who is better at DM), Djenepo and Adams in it
-
Give us Downes, Areola and a few pounds and we'll consider it
-
If true.....for somebody who only has 1 year left on his contract and has zero interest in staying with us, that would be a great deal. Yes, he may have a high ceiling with his potential but in all honesty he hasnt improved as much as we thought he would
-
The second goal was abysmal, but you cant place any blame on him for the first. Its a 2 on 1 (thanks to Bednarek) and the striker takes it first time when played in
-
We brought a decent one in
-
Salisu can fuck off sharpish. Downed tools last season and clearly doesnt want to be here. If clubs are holding off until January to get him on a free then I doubt he'll be exerting much effort up until then. A few other mysterious 'injuries' will likely crop up
-
Be some craic on here tomorrow when Selles does a number on us 🙃
-
We were likely going to sell one of either KWP or Tino, thought it would be KWP but hey ho. Great prospect but theres also some unknowns following the very bad injury hes coming back from
-
Dont you mean Bayern Munich
-
Whos he lol? Could cook in the championship.....but could also be a waste of space again. We do seem to have an overload of wide men at the moment - Tella, Sulemana, Edozie, Djenepo, Stu, Doyle, Amo-Ameyaw and AA, so something has to give. Cant see any of the youngsters, AA (who is proven at this level) and at least one of Tella/Sulemana (maybe both) going anywhere, which means that at least two out of Aribo, Djenepo and Stu will be surplus to requirements.

With Walcott, Elyounoussi, AMN, Orsic, N'Lundulu, Willy, Diallo and Lyanco (soon to be) out the door, this window is shaping up very nicely. If we can add McCarthy, Salisu, Djenepo, Tall Paul and potentially Stu Armstrong and Che (depending on your views of them) to that list, then this could be an INSANE window of outgoings.

We won 1-0 and it was the infamous moment where Ralph was on his knees crying in an empty stadium lol. Diallo was superb, barely gave Thiago a kick all game. Pity he didnt do much else the rest of his time here. Charles is already an upgrade.
-
He should still be here, we shouldnt have let him go, the people at the club dont have a clue.... He wanted to go back to Spain. We honoured that and brought Lavia in in his place (who will make us a tidy profit). We would also have still got relegated regardless if he was still here. Delighted for OR, hope he wins a title or two

Not sure about a successful loan in L1 last season. Of his 18 appearances for Morecambe from January, he only played 45 mins or more in 12 of them, of which they only had one win. It is a huge step up from a relegated L1 team to a team who should be contesting for promotion to the PL

Its very hard to judge alot of our players those who only came in last season and had to endure Nate and Ruben's masterclass coaching. DCC and ABK would comfortably be some of the best CBs in the championship if they're given a chance to work under a good coach in an efficient system. However, I cant see ABK being here by the end of the window. His potential and the fact hes featured for the German national team means he'll be in high demand. DCC may stay but again wouldnt be surprised to see him go (probably follow his mate to Turkey). Salisu checked out months ago and had recurring 'injuries' when we needed him most. Hopefully hes sold to Monaco imminently. Agree that Stephens would be a good asset in the championship. Probably most suitable for RM's system as hes comfortable with the ball at his feet. Would be surprised to see Bednarek stay. As a regular international he'll not want to be playing second tier and will be actively looking a move with Euro 2024 next year. Simeu's loans have been to League 2 only. Would need to prove himself at League 1 before being considered a squad option with us. Gut feeling - Bednarek, Salisu and ABK to follow Lyanco out the door. Hopefully we can bring two new CBs to complement Stephens and DCC

Didnt realise Redmond is still in his 20s, had him being older than that. Yes he was very frustrating at times, but that was mainly because us fans knew what he was capable of. He was excellent during the season under Puel and Ralphs first season and a half. It definitely tailed off towards the end, but then as a club we've tailed off in recent years also. Yes he would have likely been a better option than the likes of Aribo, Ely, AA, Edozie etc last season but it wouldnt have made any difference with Mad Nate and Poundshop Pep in charge. Interesting to see if Burnley pursue this and how he might get on under Kompany. Personally think his PL days are past him, but he good be a solid squad player for them.

Hoping for a few more incomings, but I suppose that will depend on outgoings. Dont think the likes of Lavia, JWP and Tella are any closer to leaving, but we have seen links to the likes of Diallo, ABK Salisu, Tall Paul and Adams ramping up. Hopefully we can move a few of them on in the next week or so and get some replacements lined up. Ideally, I would like another keeper to compete with Baz, although starting the season with him isnt the end of the world. Desperately need another CB (or two) but will depend on who leaves, a creative midfielder and at least one striker (maybe two if we move on both Onuachu and Adams)
-
We're all very familiar with Che's inability, especially last season, but in their last 3 PL seasons, Mitro has 28 goals and Che has 21 goals. Mitro is obviusly the better option, but not the slam dunk I thought it would be. If only Che could score from a yard out 🫣
-
Fixed it for you. Teams comfortably stayed in the PL last year with a squad filled with players who wouldnt fetch more than 20m each
-
Judging by last season and how uncomfortable most of the team looked in possession, we could be witnessing a mass exit 🤞🏼 Diallo, Salisu, Bednarek, McCarthy, Aribo and Adam/Stu Armstrong just some of the repeat offenders (as well as those who have left already)
-
Yes. Seen him play in nearly all of his NI games (being from NI). Very assured on the ball. We're obviously not very good, but we still have some decent players from lower Prem and Championship sides and Shea has stood out in games. Hes not on Lavia's level, but hes not far off. On another note, Edozie has the potential to shine in the Championship this season.
-
Liverpool could do worse, especially if they're seriously considering moving TAA into midfield.
-
People saying that this signing signals that Perraud is on his way, but if it wasnt a certainty before then KWP will definitely be sold. We've Tino and Bree for RB cover and although KWP has played LB, we've now got Manning and at least one of Perraud and Larios. KWP will also get us a much better fee compared with Perraud
-
Yeah it was the PL that I remember most. Recall him being so left foot dominant that he got done on the cut back inside so many times. Was certainly a very good signing for the championship
