Dont need a calculator to work out that we're done. Just look at the state of our lineups and style of play. We lost to Grimsby never mind PL teams. If we reach 30 points I'll be gobsmacked. Manager-wise I wouldnt be surprised to see us revisit Jesse Marsch. The main reason that the negotiations broke down (as with Leicester too) was the length of contract. Rasmus seems interested and we will likely offer a longer deal now we're relegated. Whether Marsch is willing to drop to the 2nd tier is another matter

I definitely don't recall being upbeat after Redknapp and his assembled group of merceneries took us down. We knew that 75% of them werenot hanging around. This season has been tragic but I still think the foundations/youth etc are in a good place. We just need a good manager and a good window (as proven by Burnley). A big ask with Rasmus overseeing both decisions no doubt

4 managers in the one season, dont think even Watford managed that. We dont have a last hope of survival. Selles' appointment was sheer desperation but bringing in yet another manager would be tragic beyond belief. Plus who is there available at this stage willing to accept a relegation on their CV. Hopefully all efforts right now are going into identifying the right manager for next season. They need to have had managerial success in a top league or at least achieved promotion from the Championship. Opting for somebody like Carrick if he fails to get Boro promoted is like appointing another Jones. His playing career has no relevance

I've tried to erase that useless cunt from my memory

Almost certain Lavia, Salisu and KWP will leave. If we can, I would also sell JWP, Bednarek, Djenepo, Diallo, Armstrong, Onuachu and Stephens. With Walcott, Moi, Caballero and AMN all leaving it would leave our squad depth as follows; GK - Bazunu, McCarthy RB - Tino, Bree LB - Perraud, Larios CB - ABK, DCC, new signing, new signing CM - Alcaraz, Smallbone, new signing, new signing RW/LW - Sulemana, Tella, Armstrong, Edozie, Orsic, new signing CF - Adams, Mara, Ballard, new signing Would leave us needing around 6/7 new signings so lets hope Rasmus is nowhere near the decision making. Also have the likes of Doyle, Edwards, Payne, Amo-Ameyaw, Meghoma and Dibling who will knocking on the door for some game time. The recruitment will need to be spot on if we're to stand any chance of returning at the first attempt. It may be the Championship but that squad doesnt fill me with much confidence

Tbf without his goals last season we would have been relegated. And without his goals this season we would probably be sitting on about 12 points. Theres plenty of other waste of spaces to be directing your annoyance at

Hes out of contract thankfully
-
Romeu wanted to go back to Spain and even if we could have recalled him, Tella would have made zero difference. Apart from that everything else has been a disaster. The two catastrophic mistakes were the management choices. Ralph should have went in the summer and Jones was a mind boggling appointment. If we had've went with somebody like De Zerbi or Lopetegui, then regardless of how bad the squad seems, we still would have likely stayed up

You can keep your shit as it looks like its collapsed. Maybe the fault is with Ted Lasso as opposed to the club haggling over 'stupid things'
-
Teams like Palace, West Ham, Wolves etc I expected to get out of it with the attacking options they have. Night and day compared to our options. Starting to look like 2 from Leicester, Forest, Leeds, Everton and Bournemouth (to go with us)
-
We were a PL club though. Theres zero chance Potter is going from Chelsea to the Championship in the space of a few months. We'll be lucky to get Chris Wilder at this rate
-
Wonder if Wilcox accepting the job was based on the pre-condition that we stay up. Doesnt look an enticing job anymore. Wouldnt be surprised if he changed his mind
-
7 points behind Gary O'Neill and Bournemouth is depressing as hell
-
Really pleased for him. Always thought he had something about him during the run of first team games he got under Ralph a few years ago. Whether thats good enough to be a consistent performer at PL level remains to be seen. Its not going to be cheap for Burnley.

Bottling big games, its the Southampton way
-
Rumours that Steve Cooper is about to be sacked by Forest. Pretty sure we were interested in him at one point so wouldnt rule that out as a possibility for next season
-
To be fair being a former player at a top level means absolutely zero when it comes to management. Countless examples of top players who have failed in management. But hey at least they can speak with some authority until they get found out
-
I dont see how Carrick would be a sensible pick if Boro dont get promoted. He would have the same lack of top flight management experience which Jones and Selles have been criticised for. The fact that he was a decent player matters very little as Lampard and Gerrard have proven
-
You do know you play 8 more games in the championship...
-
Do we have to? Cant we just raise the white flag for the remainder of the season 🏳
-
Being in the Championship next season might be worse
-
Exactly this. Expecting all of our relegation rivals to lose on the same weekend is not going to happen
-
If either VVD or Fonte had been fit then we would have won the league cup
-
Given the amount of mistakes made in the space of a season and our lack of a striker who can score (we had them in previous relegation battles), then I would have to say yes. Can just imagine the pats on the back Rasmus and Semmens will be giving themselves if we stay up
