You need to ask NJ why hes playing CBs at fullback but Perraud has played in quite a number of games under NJ, including the win over Palace so the height issue is hardly the be all and end all. I agree hes not as good a player as KWP, but hes still scored more goals than our marauding, can do no wrong, super KWP. In fact, hes our third top scorer and also has two assists in only 12 PL starts this season. Four goal contributions in a team thats only scored 17 goals all season, not bad for a limited, slow, short full back. Just admit you dont like him because hes French 🐸

How many times is he going to get caught trying to nick the ball in the front of the attacker. Lucky the Joelinton goal was ruled out. Too eager when he should just give up the possession as the attacker is facing away from goal. Need ABK back soon and hopefully between him, DCC and Salisu we find something (with Bednarek a fourth option who is hopefully never called upon)

Desperate needs before the window shuts - Striker - stating the bloody obvious DM - Diallo did well tonight but we need somebody who is much better in possession. Hjulmand looks a good option. RB/LB cover - Salisu nullified Almiron for most of the game tonight but in possession he was just pumping balls up and obviously offered no attacking threat. The same can be said of Lyanco when hes played RB. They're CBs and when we're playing 2 DMs at times, we need our full backs bombing forward like KWP. Perraud offers an attacking threat and has chipped in with goals but obviously not rated by NJ. Possibly we get somebody on loan as Livramento will hopefully be back March time While we're at it, I would cancel AMNs loan and sell Djenepo

Standouts have been Diallo, Alcaraz, Salisu and Mara who have been putting a shift in. Salisu has nullified Almiron superbly. Orsic has been a bystander. Trippier has been causing him problems going the other way too. Lyanco brainfart trying to nick the ball in front almost cost us (does this at least once a game). Would look to get Che (beside Mara) and Edozie introduced if we dont see any improvement in the final third

That is the general consensus. The worry is how long we've been linked with Jackson and how much effort went into getting a deal done, whether he was our striker target (hes played there), and what it says about our other targets if he was top of the list. Personally I dont think we were overly sold by Jackson, given the fact we pushed for a loan deal first. He has raw talent no doubt but it seems we werent willing to go above 20m. Still holding out hope for an actual striker and a DM before the deadline next week

40 points hasnt been needed since 1998 (except for a freak season in 02/03) and it wont be needed this season either. Based on recent seasons 36 points might be enough, or even less which seems about right given where clubs are sitting after 20 games. That would be 1.16 points per game which is very achievable, but only if we get the last week of the window correct
