So it is. My mistake. Cheers.

West Ham play at 5.20 today - by which time they will already know what our result was. On saturday - they play Brighton at home. We play friday night - so West Ham will (again) already know our result. Unfair *****s. ;-)

There are no streams for this game alas. However, I have streams for the West Ham v Birmingham game - so I'm going to watch that game with the sound turned down whilst listening to Saints on Solent.
-
Can I just add : 5,800 Saints fans at Palace today? That's an impressive turnout. Kudos to those going - what with money being as tight as it is these days for many. I hope - come the full time whistle - they are absolutely delighted & ecstatic & the journey was worthwhile. COYS

Like Puncheon, Barnard, Chaplow, De Ridder, one or two of the youngsters/reserves all starting. I'd personally like to see young Sam Hoskins on the bench.
-
I have a feeling Adkins will make a few changes from the derby game. He's always mentioning our 'squad' and people stepping in & being given an opportunity. With this game coming so soon after the Pompey one - be prepared for a few raised eyebrows!

Gus Poyet's Brighton could do us the world of good in their next 2 games - home to Reading & Away at West Ham. Come on you Seeeeeeea Guuuuuulls !!

Top work lads. :-)

Saints / Reading / West Ham run in: Games to go . . .

Add to that : Brighton slipped out of the play-off places today & will be looking to rectify that on Tuesday night at home to Reading. Anyone remember our result at Brighton? Not an easy place to go. Reading have quite a week ahead of them. They play late tuesday night in that game - then 3 nights later on the friday - they visit SMS. At least we play monday afternoon with more time to recover. Just a thought... -

West Ham's next 2 games are both at home (Brum & Brighton) - and the Hammers have been utter garbage at home their past 6 games. Their fans don't help. The pressure they're under to win is immense even before KO !!! Brum are a decent side - and Brighton too are decent on the road - especially with late goals. I know I'm looking for positives amongst the remaining fixtures - but I really can't see West Ham winning BOTH of those games - not with their recent home form. -
I spose it's not all gloom & doom. . . quite. On monday - West Ham are home to Birmingham - and Reading are away at Brighton. Both tough fixtures & as we found out, Brighton away particularly. The tough part for Adkins will be lifting the lads after what seems like a defeat today. Palace away is going to be tough - but I can think of several harder away games to go to following a confidence-sapping local derby draw.

Not sure what's happened to Puncheon? He seems to have dropped off the radar ?!?!
-
Adkins just said Morgan is out for the season - or words to that effect. He's got a very badly injured knee (stud marks all down it) and that's his season finished. More good news then! Bloody football. . . .
-
Before the pikeys go on and on and on and on about Sharp's 2nd goal & how they were "cheated" ; even their own gaffer Appleton has just said on the radio it was a goal, because it came off a Pikey player before Sharp tapped it in. Just thought I'd clear that up then - mainly to save us 10 years of their misguided excuses.
-
Watched the whole game on a good live stream. Gutted that we couldn't hang on for just a couple of minutes more after our 2nd. Lambert clearly wasn't/isn't fit. Fox was by far our worst player today - utter she1te. Wasted every corner & free kick by over-hitting every dead ball he took. Well done Billy Sharp. FOAD you pikey *****ers.
-
So Reading & West Ham win. If we beat the pikey's tomorrow - it's completely "as you were"... .... but with one game less to play.
-
Adkins says he's giving a few fringe players/those returning to fitness a game. Puncheon will therefore probably make way. The games are coming thick & fast now, so no big deal.

I'd rather we forked out 2 or 3 million for Barnsley's Ricardo Vaz Te to be honest.

Was there in '84 to see Steve Moran's legendary winner late on. Stood in the Fratton End that day (as did many Saints) as we couldn't get tickets for the Saints end. Was there again when we drew 2-2 ('87-'88 season) - Colin Clarke scoring both Saints goals that day. Was also there in 2004 when we lost 1-0 to the pikeys. I won't be there sunday alas - but I just know that come the final whistle - I'm so gonna wish I was!
-
I wondered the same after watching the highlights saturday night. And just how many penalty appeals can one game have?!?!
