I am more than happy with the win, but . . . I'm still somewhat alarmed at the lack of goals from our non-productive midfield.
-
Half time almost - yet we haven't even got going yet ffs!
-
3-2 to the Saints today - a goalfest. You'll see . . .
-
I'm in the "4 points from 2 away games is a decent return" camp . . .
-
He's lucky he managed to. Whenever I try to pay my fiver via Paypal - it asks for credit card details of a further card (WTF???) . . . so I can't be arsed.

Old Nige has now had 2 games in charge to run the rule over the squad; who he's keeping & who he sees as not interested/can go. More importantly - he now has a week to work with the players & to get his ideas across etc. I'm hoping early next week - he'll approach NC and get him to sanction a loan or two because - being honest - we need them desperately. We need more pace - a classy gritty central midfielder with good distribution - someone quick & playing out wide perhaps - and cover up front for the strikers. We all know that. And now - hopefully Adkins does too by now!
-
FFS their keeper is hardly flinging himself around the box & stopping shots once again. C'mon lads - let's have a few shots at goal. Jeez . . .

Nigel Adkins sounded well ****ed-off on Solent in his post match interview. Says he found out a lot about the players he had in his squad tonight. Sounded annoyed tbh. I know he's only been here 48 hours - and in that time he's probably enjoyed a light-hearted laugh & a joke over on the training ground whilst getting to know the squad in just 2 days. However - he sounded annoyed tonight & I reckon the next training session over at Staplewood will see a 'nastier' Nigel Adkins - not afraid to kick a few of them up the 'arris! Mentioned taking a better look at what he has to work with & said may well have to bring in new faces. Sounded good to me!

If we make the play-offs this season - I will be absolutely amazed - despite it only being mid-september still. We badly miss Lallana - and Barnard's threat in front of goal. But the most incredible lacking feature this season from last seems to be no creativity whatsoever - none. The strikers are getting little or no service - and the midfield are creating bugger all - zilch. I wish Mr Adkins all the very best & desperately hope he succeeds. But on this showing; it'll take a miracle worker to reach them there play-offs!

I feel sorry for the MK Dons keeper. His hands must be stinging like mad after all those saves he's had to make tonight . . .

My sincere sympathies Daren to you & your family for the loss of your dear mum. Roll on the day when clever humans can finally eradicate this filthy vile disease. RIP Mrs Wheeler - one of our own & that's always a sad loss.

Because this is SaintsWeb . . .

Very pleased indeed with Adkin's appointment. His teams play good attacking football with plenty of width & I have no doubt we will soon be winning the majority of our games and playing 'sexy football' at the same time! Welcome to Southampton FC Mr Adkins - the best job in English football!

4 points from 5 games is absolutely shocking form - manager or no manager. Stand-in gaffer Wilkins & Rickie Lambert say the right things during the week on the OS - prior to the game. But when it comes to the match itself - it's as if none of them can be arsed. And yet again - we seem so inept - so pathetically weak - in front of goal. I can't remember the Swindon keeper flinging himself about during the game - can you?!?! I welcome Adkins with open arms I have to say. He'll have his work cut out initially with getting belief & confidence back in a side that sadly lacking both. And being without the influential Lallana won't help his cause. Roll on monday morning & his appointment. I can't stand too many more of these desperately disappointing saturdays which end ruining my whole weekend. Bloody game football. Sometimes I wish I hated it . . .

Going to form so far: Wilkin's 3 games in charge:- Lost 3-0 Lost 2-0 Losing 1-0 If he was in charge for the next game - put a few bob on a 0-0 bore draw!
-
Nigel Adkins will sort this bunch of clueless gits out & have us climbing the league in no time. All we're lacking (apart from Lallana & Barnard of course) is a gaffer that knows how to win.

According to a Scunny site - agent said offer Scunny £350,000 compo - so NC offered £200,000. Their chaiman (Wharton?) wanted £500,000. Bollix? Truth? You decide.

I anal bleach. Is that gay?

Rolf Fringer at 11am on Tuesday.
-
Lucerne manager Rolf Fringer is being linked with the job. He's an Austrian - and also managed the Swiss national side not so long ago. I guess if he gets the job & it all goes tits up - we'll be able to point the finger at Fringer! * see what I did there?
-
Worst of all - we've gotta put up with a whole week of Alpine's wrist-slitting input. * Sigh
-
Can't understand how we're losing this tbh. We've been so sharp in front of goal this afternoon . . .
-
The manager's gone - fair enough - but surely the players fookin know their job and should put a good shift in?!?! Arsew1pes.

It looked a bit sparse in these photos from last night http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/8364512.How_we_beat_the_Saints_photo_ban/

Oooh look - a thread on Saintsweb turns into a slanging match. How unusual . . .
