No! We had a pretty crap pre-season tour of Switzerland & local games nearer home...which carried over to the Plymouth game & Orient game. The way MK Dons are going, we'd probably have gotten a draw at best there too! In Cortese we trust!
-
Played 3 league games this season & we've won one - drawn one - and lost one. Typical Saints - and many would say typical Pardew. Obviously Cortese can see/feel the same old pattern unfolding from last season. . . and has taken steps to rectify the situation. I guess I'm possibly/probably one of the least surprised SFC fans this morning?!?!

I'd like to see 2 more in - both midfielders. A pacey wide player (obviously) - and a gritty ball-winner in the centre.

Nissan has started production of the new Juke model at its Sunderland plant. The firm has already received more than 22,500 pre-orders for the crossover across Europe after the order books were opened in June. Nissan expects to produce up to 100,000 Jukes each year at Sunderland, making it the second highest-volume model produced at the plant behind the Qashqai.

Not even the triple signing of Gerrard, Defoe & John Terry this week to Saints would bring a smile to the miserable git's face . . .
-
Plus (of course): who's to say the player himself will settle in England - a place many South American's find difficult to adapt to?
-
Let's hope he doesn't get to those lovely, bracing November & December crisp (ie; sub zero) mornings over there on the training ground at Staplewood and think: "Brrrrrr - what the f@*k have I done???" Sounds a very good signing tbh. I do so love a Brazilian.
-
I think it looks superb! It's quite small in real life - although you wouldn't think so looking at the pics. Nissan have had mainly awful, dull, boring-looking vehicles for years now - but that is a huge improvement.

Eternal gratitude to the great man for taking the time, effort & bother to find it within himself to purchase this great club. It's ironic that he has passed away in this - our centenary year. RIP Mr Liebherr sir. Gone - but never forgotten.
-
I would assume we will be up for sale again sometime in the near future??? I haven't got a clue tbh. Time will tell I guess.

I was born in Malta at the Royal Navy hospital in Mtarfa. I spent almost 13 years at sea on RN ships back in the late 70s and all through the 80s - visited countless countries around the world - but never went (back) to Malta in all that time - strangely enough. So, three years ago, decided to have a week's holiday there - just to see where I was born & as I'd heard nothing but good things from all who'd been there. Fabulous place! The people are amongst the friendliest I've ever met - and there is lots to see and do. We hired a car for the whole week; went to Gozo for the day; boat trips to caves & the 'blue lagoon'; the WW2 museum; wonderful seafood/fish restaurants (my favourite); cheap food & drink; many sites & places to visit - including the glass-making factory near to where I was born. I hope to go back next year - which I will. I have 2 birth certificates; one British and the other obviously Maltese. To be honest; I could quite easily see myself ending my days exactly where I started them!

We need to bring back scantily-clad, large-chested dancing girls before KO and at the HT interval. And at the final whistle win, lose or draw. Infact - have them serving behind the concourse bars & pie stalls too. I wouldn't care if we lost then. Am I a dirty old perv?

Indeed Minty. To coin an old phrase: It's not what you know - it's who you know. -

Why were so many of our "best first XI" in the league missing ?

Me too. I can't believe we haven't got 8 players for every position ffs... -
lol. Talk about an over-reaction...

I'm not sticking up for him (I didn't even vote for him) but he is correct about Pakistan - as everyone knows.

I will see Craig David's dad tonight - as I always do on a Tuesday. He's a friend of mine. Fact!

He should be dangling on 6ft of hemp.
