  1. I can only imagine because the stakes are so high and it generates an environment of impartiality, reducing their position to an extent and chaired by industry legal experts.
  2. If it comes out the final is postponed then it is something significant that has happened. postponing the final is not really an option for the EFL, surely
  3. Would be f-ing hilarious if nothing of note come of this. extremely unlikely I know otherwise I doubt it would gone this far, but would be funny though
  4. We’ll get a sanction. That I am certain, no denial what so ever has been made. best case is a fine, with a suspended points deduction. most likely, big fine and -3 points least likely expulsion from the final.
  5. I will never ever forget their insane reaction to all of this
  6. One club on the hook for 'spying', the other had had a transfer embargo One for the purists
  7. if we remain in the playoffs and able to beat Hull, you just know we draw Boro in one of the cups next year
  8. yeah, fair one. To be fair, that may have been poorly interpreted by me
  9. Just a reminder what Stefan Borson said about it, he is usually pretty clued up on such matters
  10. Yeah, Stefan Borson was stating this on Talksport recently. Reminding all that it is EFL v Saints effectively and we will certainly appeal if we get a decision that is not acceptable to us (ie, being kicked out), which is a whole can of horrible worms for the EFL. In short, the offence took place and we are working with the process to ensure (hope) for a just sanction.
  11. They have themselves as the Home side on their site
  12. getting relentless
  13. good point, more so as playing Saints or Boro are very different scenarios. We play very different football
  14. surely an appeal wont be held within say, 48-72 hours......given this has take the best part of a week already. Then again, if we trigger an appeal that could trigger the fixture to be changed
  15. When you put it like that (ie, just the facts), the timing might save us from what the EFL/whoever may want to do to as a sanction.
  16. Looking on the Boro forum, they are generally not only confident about us being kicked out, but very confident. Me personally, No idea what has actually happened (or to what extent). Despite 'spying' within 72 hours of kick off being against the rules and removing us from the playoffs is fucking overkill, nothing will surprise me in football. Even 6 points as a deduction is overkill considering Leicester and such like. I can see a scenario where the EFL go through with it and let us take what ever action we take, albeit as a Championship club.
  17. on the Uglies, he appears in the Feb manager of the month picture, but not the March and April's. Clearly, he was 'scouting' on those days
  18. Any steer on the direction of travel on this...and fuming at who?
  19. Tickets were supposed to go on sale tomorrow morning something is going on
  20. The lawyer thing is probably as accurate as a spy hidden in the bushes with sophisticated recording and listening equipment
  21. It happened that is a fact. It just depends if the sanction is to be kicked out of a competition, or something else. Being kicked out is totally unprecedented and totally unwarranted the advantage gained is impossible to determine is a few days, if any exists.
  22. Then it must be concluded by tomorrow, surely?
