I know it was not the done thing to say this much of last season, under a proper manager we had enough in the squad to stay up. The Nathan Jones thing just killed it and we never recovered. Early on in the season, once we ditched the extremely weird 3-at-the-back, we looked alright (toothless, yes).

Agree. Anyone loaning a player from us over the last 2 seasons would have been met with hilarity from the majority of Saints fans, given how most of our players were terrible. Given teh sales, seems there were/are not

I like the look of their big lad up front yesterday. Not sure he will be prolific at QPR, but has something about him that may see him go on to bigger/better things.

Interesting to hear Martin say that if Adams leaves we will replace him. Fair enough. What if he leaves next Friday afternoon, after a very late bid from whoever...........that makes it very difficult to replace our main striker.

Game over. 1st half (like last week) very meh. Alcaraz was poor and the team was slow. 1st 10 mins of the 2nd half was more of the same. Very good changes by RM. Fraser looks pretty dynamic and A.Armstrong is MILES better playing slightly deeper. Feel we need a new CF (Sinclair Armstrong would be decent) if Adams is off. Downes good, Charles good, S.Armstrong good. QPR are pretty handy, and should have gone in front when they were on top...
