The Lionesses success - Five footballing lessons for us?
AlexLaw76 replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
We shall not be taking any lessons from a team with such lack of diversity as England ladies. do they even kneel before the games? -
From the little on show, you can easily get the feel that he is going to be good, and have a potential awesome career. I am sure he will have a few dodgy games, just the way it goes. Imagine if McCarthy starts in goal next weekend?!?!

Be interested if the additional help for fuel bills gets paid without issue to old warrior saint. also, did the little extra to assist with council tax get to him I wonder?

Bonjour Sékou, je m'appelle Alex. Savez-vous où se trouve l'église, et puis-je avoir du fromage s'il vous plaît.

isn't that what Aribo has been brought in for?

Practice makes perfect...........

Apparently, Romeu is not so suited as the 'lonely 6' in the team, but is better further forward and knows how to score 😏

Results in pre-season do not matter. All about 'minutes in the tank'

They have to be high on ket or something. Even strange people don't act like that?!
-
Casual racism from the Guardian - certainly not for the first time.

KwP can probably RB, yes?

Playing 3 at the back will mean we brutally exposed as an attacking threat, with our 'overload' being at CB.
-
what is your view on the success of Ralph this season, beyond the starting formation?
-
Be interesting to see how long he lasts? I cannot see it being beyond xmas (meaning he has the start of the world cup to sort himself out). The tail-end of last season was just ridiculous, and he always had the get-out-of-jail card that we have been skint/poor squad. Well, he has been backed more than most/all managers in our recent history, with more incoming and for good money. Watching us line up with the exact same dull/ponderous football (3 at the back ffs) during pre-season, I just cannot see how he can last, noting our challenging start. It is worrying how to continues to completely fail to get anything out of A.Armstrong (and Adams on a lesser extent) as goal scorers. However, we now have owners with a little bit of clout and the reasoning of not moving Ralph on for finances no longer washes. Of course, hope to be hilariously wrong with the above - not sure I will be.

Get him in on Loan and actually buy a Left Back who can start from the off.
-
As you say, he needed dropping way before that. Which is no bad thing at all, he is just a young'un
-
Livramento was good for a period in the season. We need someone to lead the line all season (or immune to Ralph in many ways), otherwise we are in deep shit
-
Gone by xmas - the man is past his sell-by date at saints After signing Adams and Armstrong - 2 very good championship strikers - we need to spend big money on more. Because Ralph is unable to get a tune out of them really. Unable to get a note out of Armstrong!
