I know of civil servants who have yet to work a single day back in their office since Mar 2020 (let alone partake in any hybrid work routine), as they believe it is still too dangerous. Of course, the local union reps are all over it. Insanely low output from those painted as brave public servants. Of course, being a brave public servant did not include working a single minute of a weekend during lockdown (as the contract did not allow it). After 6 months in the civil service, you are almost untouchable. That is not to say many are very good, hard workers, but this current state just cannot continue just from the little I see. I kid you not, one of the union reps at our place had to have the day after the General Election off for a 'period of reflection' as he was absolutely certain that Corbyn was going to win. WTF!

A few reports going around that Russia will be turning off the Gas supplied to Finland over the next day or so. Lets see

He would be a hero for Labour with his working-class background. He is probably one of few in parliament that have lived in poverty, yet his views (which have merit) get dismissed. I guess unless you are Labour you can't comment. If you are not a politician, you must spend you money on scratch cards and cider to hold a valid comment

What does she spend that on? He was also a single parent, chose when to eat and grew up in a mining town. Of course, if he was Labour, he would be a hero

More 'revelations' today. Vardy composed (and sent) a number of whatsapps to ambush 'wags' at the world cup to all come out of a restaurant and be 'papped' by a photographer hiding. This despite nearly all of the other 'wags' wishing to stay out of the media glare. Vardy denied sending the Whatsapp messages, despite them being read out back to her, where it is clear she did write them (and even admitting to setting up the photo shoot). The agent (who Vardy is blaming) lost her phone as she dropped it into the North Sea ...............The trial continues!

Didn’t Tony Blair get a parking ticket?

Well, we have convicted criminals sitting in Parliament, and few give a toss. So who knows!

If they felt they were necessary, why were so many of them ignoring the rules? they were not scared of the virus we were told to be scared of. next time, let’s hope these things are considered a bit more. if it was all about principle, when is Stephen kinnock being sacked? Ian Blackfoot? they were all at it. What we are watching is political theatre. as said, losing an elected official over nothing more than a parking ticket is barking mad, and will ensure we dig further into the gutter for future MPs

They were voted through with Labour (who wanted even more strict rules) they were all at it. Kinnock, Corbyn, Blackfoot, Boris, Starmer the rules were ridiculous, and to lose any of them over what is a parking ticket is equally stupid. but hey, cake and curry is what it is all about, right!?

They should not resign. Starmer absolutely not. The rules (which they all voted for) were completely ridiculous. losing a PM or leader of the opposition to the equivalent of a parking ticket is just insane. next time, they may all dwell a pause before voting through pathetic ‘rules’.
