  1. How are those 'championship' standard floodlights coming along - oh and any idea who's paying for them yet?
  2. If they delay the start long enough perhaps they will be able to showcase their championship standard floodlights as well
  3. Who cares! Bring on the championship standard floodlights!!
  4. Who cares - when championship standard floodlights are on the way!
  5. I went to dictionary.com to look up the word optimistic - it linked to that very article Can we now call FP the 'mock tudor timber tabernacle'?
  6. Have you tried the Portsmouth Supporters club - they should be able to point you in the right direction
  7. It's way too harsh on Wigan to compare them to the skates these days.
  8. I suspect that rape would be classed as a 'deprived' sex act. I also suspect that they paid these ladies for their services so we can rule that out...
  9. Yeh, but how long is his name?
  10. They stole money from at least one charity. Your question doesn't need to be asked...
  11. Pretty sure this is also about the UK not having to abide by the ridiculous rulings of the oooropean court of oooman rights.
  12. To be fair, he didn't mention promotion. There are two ways out of the league....
  13. In employment law, that frankly, is NOT the case. Employment Law is not the same as criminal law and for cases of theft, the employer does not have to provide unequivocal proof or even proof beyond reasonable doubt. It does however have to have reasonable suspicion and reasonable evidence.
  14. They've already had all the money they are going to get - it's what paid for the sliver of tarmac in the shadow of the North stand. There will be no more money - unless of course the generous football league will give them a long term loan!!
  15. It comes a close second I'm afraid Mr T as nothing on the internet will ever beat our 'Arry and his legendary twitter Q&A session
  16. Apart from the annual season ticket sale....
  17. So, just to recap : They made a profit of £118,000 for the year until 30th June 2014. But, that wasn't actually a profit at all, because once they added in the interest that they paid on loans, they made a loss of £171,000 which means the interest was £289,000. I'm no rocket scientist, but that to me looks like the amount of interest you would pay on a loan of around £4m or the amount the 'presidents' 'invested' so generously.... I guess this statement is deliberately vague but it looks to me that they are also including the Robinscum money in the accounts for that year - presumably to make them look better - even though that money came in November didn't it and therefore outside of the accounting period? Again, not an expert on these things but isn't this VERY similar to the way Tescos were reporting their accounts by 'selecting' things that they did and didn't want to be included to make them look better?
  18. Lol. They've said it over and over - so many times in fact that it MUST be true - they would not swap that FA cup win for the world! Besides, they COULD afford the team as the international finance institutions didn't destroy them until the day after the cup final! Bitter brummies! Just think, TEN wins on the trot and they will have climbed to the dizzy heights of League 1. Lose just one of the next seven games and another season in League 2 beckons. Anyone remember whether the 'business plan' required promotion at the end of the first or second season in League 2 - or is it that robust that they don't need to worry about trivial things like promotion these days...
  19. Frankly, it's nothing to do with the landlord! If they have broken the law or are causing a public nuisance then the police are the only people who can deal with it! Do you think the owners of your mortgage are responsible for your behaviour? They're not, they're bothered about whether or not you pay your mortgage in the same way the landlord is only bothered about whether the rent is paid - and I guess also about whether the house is maintained in 'good order'. Everything else is not their concern!
  20. A quick squizz at the table and with eight games left to play it looks like the playoffs will require a minimum of 70 points - on current form... They currently have 49 points so would need another 21 to get to 70. Whilst it's not mathematically impossible just yet, I reckon a loss or draw in the next two games will make it so - they basically need to win all eight remaining games to be guaranteed a play off spot... Their next game is at home against second place Shrewsbury....
  21. Isn't Mick Williams also Comical Ali - obviously in his spare time, which he has an awful lot more of these days
  22. Which, frankly, describes LinkedIn. Gets more and more like retard facebook everyday. The first time I see a cat video / lolcatz on LinkedIn it will be gone....
  23. 'Coz it's better in division four innit, proper footie in division four honest guv, innit, yeah mush.
  24. I worked - very briefly, about 6 weeks - for Everest and can give you first hand advice that their windows and doors are quite good. However, I really don't think they are any better than what you can get from a good local firm. The sales guys for Everest are all self employed and work on a commission only basis so will do anything they can to secure the sale from you there and then. My advice - as painful as it is to have double glazing sales people in your house over and over - is to get three local people to come and quote as well as Everest. DO NOT agree to anything on the first visit despite how good the deal may look. Take your time and look at the figures once the sales person has gone. Always insist that they bring samples of the windows they are selling so you can see and compare with the other companies, the quality you will be getting. Do your research in advance about the type of window you want fitted - UPVC versus composite or wood frames etc so you will know roughly what the salesperson is talking about when they try to baffle you with their version of 'science'. Once you have all the quotes then you are in a better position to decide who to go with. Also, decide how you are going to pay for the windows - if it's cash then you have a much better negotiating tool in your bag. If finance, then I would strongly recommend seeing what your bank will loan you and at what rate as I guarantee this will be cheaper than most windows companies. Finally, once you have all the quotes - insist on having a copy of all the measurements they have taken as well - then you can compare online prices. Decide on your budget and how much you are prepared to pay for your windows and stick to it. Don't be fooled by some of the 'gimmicks' on offer unless you absolutely need them....
  25. I used to run the Millhouse in Netley Abbey [it's called Netley Grange now] - no idea who does now as I haven't been there for about four years - but I know they are usually always on the lookout these days, same for the Plough in Bursledon. If you don't mind the big corporate chains, then I'd say give them a whirl... Looks like they are looking for team leaders, front of house and of course kitchen staff : https://www.spiritpubcompanycareers.com/vacancy/673
