Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Lee On Solent Saint replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Wouldn't make much difference at corners, JWP will leave as well! -
That's all very well, but we need to do this on our terms. No good for us if a club comes in on the last day of the window for Ings, leaving us with zero chance of replacing. We need to make this decision before the start of the pre-season games. I know it will never happen, but ideally if he wants out, we need to put it out there that if he hasn't gone in the next three weeks, he stays for the season. None of this last minute transfer bullshit.

Our shit form at the end of the season coming back to haunt us.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester

Agreed. We need to get maximum price for him, so cashing in on the back of a decent Euro campaign makes perfect sense. Out of all our likely departures, he's the one I wouldn't be sorry to see go. -
If he thinks he's going to play week in, week out for the top 6 sides, he's deluded. If he goes, the only place he may get regular game time is Arsenal. I don't think for one moment Kane is leaving Spurs. This is lined up for him going to Everton or West Ham.

Moussa Djenepo, can he step up next season?

Agreed. Think it's now or never for him this season. Got the makings of a Boufal situation unfortunately. -
I think when you look at the tournament as a whole, the three most successful teams thus far, England,Italy and Denmark have a togetherness and unity that the other squads don't seem to have. Seems to me that the pre-tournament favourites, the likes of France and Belgium, all had fantastic individuals, but they perhaps like previous England teams have struggled to play as a team.

Looks like they may be without Spinazzolo to, he looks a player
-
Comfortably. Would be a great sight to see him alongside Salisu, in a similar role to that of Fonte.
-
If we go for Messi, doesn't that mean we would also need to sign a compatriot of his? Just to help him settle?!
-
I know it's hard to make judgements on a few games, but he does seem a very good player. We were constantly linked him with, I think last season. KWP is decent, but this lad seems to be the next level up from him.
-
Getting back to the Abgon quote, in what kind of fucked up universe does he think we will sell for 20m??
-
Christ, that likeness is spooky!
-
I think it's something we absolutely need to get better at. The loan market is perfect for the reasons you state. Lots of players aren't going to be getting game time at their parent clubs. Would love us to be bang on with the two loans we are allowed in the domestic market.
-
City might well be willing to play top dollar for him, but there is no way that he is any better than Mahrez, Foden, Gundogan or Silva.
-
My opinion is that he is over-rated. Not asking you to agree with me. Yes,he is a good player, but the drooling over him is just over the top
-
Not disputing he set up the winner. Be interesting to see how he gets on against a better team where he probably won't be afforded the amount of time and space he found today.
-
Got nothing to do with JWP. Just think he is vastly over-rated. Seems the only thing in his locker is the ability to go down easily.
-
Getting fed up with the wankfest for Grealish. You'd think he was on par with Messi and Ronaldo the way the Lee Dixon is banging on. Every time he gets tackled or touched he's down.
-
I don't think we would even consider letting JWP go for anything less than 40m. I haven't always been his greatest fan, although I do believe we are better with him in the team than not. He's the SFC golden boy, it will take a big bid for us to even think about it.
-
Absolutely. Would rather see the Danes give them a hiding
-
Looks like we missed a trick with Maehle from Denmark
-
Think I read somewhere that he was on Palace's radar.
-
bumper

Exactly. I thought he was real coup when he signed for us. Dutch international defender from a top Italian team, thought he would be a great signing. Just goes to prove reputation doesn't count for everything.
