I do wonder if he doesn't see himself as a Le Tiss kind of figure. Possibly looking to break records with us. He seems like his pretty loyal to us, I would imagine in the past, certainly under Hughes and Koeman, there were opportunities for him to leave.

Dan N'Lundulu - Official: Loaned to Lincoln
Lee On Solent Saint replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
This makes sense, as others have said, not going to make it here. Gets another wage of the payroll, although probably wasn't on a great deal, all helps. Wonder what sort of fee is involved? -
Looks to me like Villa are aiming for the next level, possibly to challenge Leicester as the best of the rest. Pretty feasible they could challenge, top four look way ahead, but with Spurs and Arsenal pretty average, could be that top 6 is realistic for them. Wolves look a shadow of the team they were, Everton are just Everton, not sure if West ham will have another season like last. Leeds if they spend well might be in that bracket too. If Villa can keep Grealish and spend that sort of cash, they could be in for a very good season.

We shouldn't have anything to fear at Everton. Have a feeling that squad is going to be ripped apart after Ancelotti's departure, lot will depend who they bring in to replace him, but could easily see a few move on.

That decision was on par with Branfoot replacing Le Tiss with Paul Moody.

Absolutely. I see no point in keeping him around. -

Certainly think he has more about him than Nlundulu. -
Am not so sure. I can see Villa challenging the established order in a few seasons. I think they are very ambitious and will certainly look to emulate Leicester.

Bound to call up another defender

Looks like he'll be one down now.

Would love us to get that kind of fee, but don't see it happening.

I think we are going to have to accept bids of around 20m for Ings. Unfortunately, it's a PEH situation all over again.

Seem to remember reading that Howe was a Everton fan

Maybe Ron will put in a good word for us!

Not sure what Philips brings to be honest. Other than the fact he plays for the media darlings of Leeds. Got to say you should have JWP ahead of him, even if it is for dead ball ability. Crock of shit anyway, playing for England has always been about reputation than form.

This is how I see. it Not fussed either way. Although I wouldn't want us to waste away our two domestic loan signings. Think they will be really important to us. Absolutely hope we do our homework to explore the loan market with the big six sides.

Reasons why we won't get relegated next season
Lee On Solent Saint replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
I can't see Norwich doing anything but struggle. They'll be great to watch and win the neutral's support, but they lack even the quality that we have. Watford, I think will have a bit more about them next season and wouldn't be surprised if they manage to stay up. Brentford could go either way. If Toney hits the ground running they could be in for a decent season. -
There's no way JWP is going to start a game in the Euro's. Although it appears Southgate has a soft spot for our James, I don't see him starting a game. Henderson is bound to start if fit.

Agree with this. Some clubs need to sell more than we do. We need to adopt a Levy style when it comes to negotiating a deal. We get fucked over enough in transfer fees, it's time we used the same tactic

Benteke normally has his best game of the season against us. Ergo, would he be any good actually playing for us?!

I suspect as others have mentioned, we wanted Bertie to take more of a backup role in the coming new season. We can only surmise and say that he wasn't happy with that, and maybe his people advised him he could be back up at a bigger club and pocket a tidy sign on fee in the process. I fully believe had we signed a left back in the January window, Bertie would have been quietly pushed aside.

If we didn't want to upgrade, why were we so intent on trying to sign Brandon Williams? Pretty sure if we got him on a six month loan he wouldn't have just sat on the bench.
