Maybe, but even if that's the case, aribo, smallbone or downes as a false 9 is just as ridiculous. Downes has his role and he does it well. Smallbone did ok last year but he is nowhere near good enough to start in prem. If tomorrow's out field line up is same as last week there is no point even turning up, ramsdale or not

Weird thing to say. We set up with 3 at the back and wing backs. Never in my life have I seen wing backs with the 2 forwards also playing wide. I took my 9 year old daughter to the replay as her first ever game, mainly because it was cheap and expected her to want to leave but she loved it and and even she made comments about how good he was. We should be all over ramsdale. Those squads undoubtedly better on paper but too many big names that couldn't be left out meant square pegs in round holes. That, and the other big nations being really strong meant it was so much harder to win a major tournament. In recent times, we have had 2 semi finals and a final with a fraud of a manager because we have had a very strong squad and everyone else being at their weakest ever. I think brooks coming in and mara starting to gain confidence with more minutes is going to keep us fresh. There's a lot of competition for places now, everyone needs to be on their toes and that can only be a good thing.
