The most worrying thing i have read today And it means the Saints are now threatened by liquidation and could drop out of the Football League, if SLH fails to attract new investment by the end of the summer.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/7976418.stm Lowe speaks
-
His temperament and consistency, together with a high level of fitness, enabled him to continue to play every match until 18 January 2003 when he limped off with an injury in a 1–0 defeat to Liverpool. This brought to an end a run of 113 consecutive appearances, a Premiership record for an outfield player (since surpassed by Frank Lampard).[4] His run started on 4 March 2000 since when Bridge had played 10,160 consecutive minutes of Premiership football, not missing a single minute's play through injury or suspension.
-
Didn't he play every minute of every game for like 100 odd games? Doesn't he still hold that record for an outfield player in the premiership??????

A P*mpey fan I work with said to me this morning that he dreamt last night that we beat QPR 4-1 and Surman scored the 2nd goal worth a £1.00 bet i think

Proof that we are no longer a youthful team

But in the long run the likes of Gobbern, McGlaggon, Patterson, Mills will all be better for this seasons experiences Gillett is 23 i think but he wasnt getting a look until this season and is turning in to a useful player. If anything i reckon he'd have gone by now had he not been given the chance. -
MLT statue would have to be in the pose after he had just scored that wonder goal against Blackburn whilst he has his hands raised in the air Can't find the pic though

Just the Trusts desperate attempt to get a fan on the board. Will never happen and will never work + has anyone who originally joined the Trust actually renewed your membership? What do you actually get for your membership in the first place?????
-
Best moment as a Southampton fan was Brett's goal against Watford in FA Cup Semi. good luck to him
-
I think this confirms he is permanant http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/team/?page_id=6587&player_id=157

One of my mates is a big fan of Dutch Football. He told me that Wotte is well respected in the Dutch game and is also a big TV oundit out there. Aparantly he likes a to play a hard style of play!!!!!!!
-
Seems to me that Wotte is permanant successor

I am totally under whelmed by events at SMS yet again. Poortvliet should be sacked simple as that. If I was Surman or Lallana I would seriously be slapping in a transfer request this morning as I would not want to play for this Dutch clown. The sad thing is I think we are stuck with Jan even if we go down; this is Lowes 3-4 year plan That’s why at the next home game the fans really need to crank up the pressure on Jan as I can see him walking away if the pressure gets too much and that’s our only hope of getting rid of him.
-
The last thing we need now is for Jan to pull off a freak result

The Barnsley win which was much needed has kept JP in his job for about another 10 games! -
I think JP is as good as gone. Why else announce a Crisis meeting if you were 100% behind the manager??????? Something behind the scenes is obviously not right especially with Hockaday being placed on gardening leave by the club Lowe sacked Wigley yes too late but he did sack him so i don't think he will be worried about sacking JP. Lowe won't admit he was wrong, he will say something along the lines of..... 'it was an idea that given time could have worked, but in football we live in a results driven enviroment and we just weren't gettng the rub of the green'

The ony way Jan will go is if he resigns. Thats why the fans need to target him with abuse as games as i don't think he'd be difficult to break. I like Jan as a person but he need to do whats right for this club an thats to leave. If he wn't then the fans need to pressure him n to it.......
-
I think the only way we can get change is if Jan resigns as i don't think Lowe will sack him! If the fans put pressure on Jan over the next few games it may well work as i see him as a man who is very emotional and i can't see him taking to much stick before he walks. Instead of targetting Lowe at games it might be an idea to vent your frustration at Jan?????

Can't start a new post but seems we are close to signing Lupoli http://www.firenzeviola.it/?action=read&idnotizia=37078

Huckerby is no longer a Norwich player, was released at end of season and now plays in MLS. I had a thought about Cureton going back there and scoring against us the other day

I am sure |Lowe will get the blame on if there isnt a sell on clause

Time for some good old fashioned name dropping
Paul Chuckle replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I also remember a few years back when Jumpin Jacks was the place to be on a Weekend that i would olways bump in to Lundekvam (Top Bloke handing out shots and getting Ciggys off people), Anders Svennson (another top guy remember chatting to him for ages in there after he had bagged 2 against Leicester), Stuart Ripley looking really shiffty and looking like he would knock you out if you even looked at him. MLT with Curly Watts from Corrie but the funniest moment was when my mate went to the loo in Jacks one night and pushed the cubicle door open only to find Matty sat on the loo, trousers round his ankles and head in his hands -

When i worked part time at one stop when i was at college (99-01) Brian O'Neil used to always come in and chat to me in the early hours. Never believed him at first when he told me he played for Saints Steve Wigley used to also come in whilst he was at Forest with David Platt. I remember asking him if Platt was coming to Soton as he had been linked shortly after Hoddle left and he said why do you need another manager as you already have a decent one (Talking about Stuart Gray lol). Jim Joyce used to also come in wearing the shotest shorts ever come wind or rain. I asked him a few times about who would be fit on the Saturday and i found he wasn't really that bothered. -
