Which current squad member will play in the next world cup.
HnycS replied to HnycS's topic in The Saints
Yes is he Danish, and they are in the playoffs? If so good call. -
So interestingly Cameron Bragg is a Scottish U21, Jay Robinson England U21, Tom Fellowes England U21 and THB full England player. Shouldn't be hard for Tonda to motivate any of them. Who do you think has the best shot?
-
Agree. However it's a long season and knowing someone capable wants your spot is great motivation. At his age Bragg should be comfortable knowing he will get time as needed and the manager has his back. Next season might be different, but that is a long time in football terms, and Bragg should have patience.

Nice summary, was going to say maybe a little luck also. But then I thought about the uncontested header for the first goal, and realized Manning wasn't there by accident. That took some planning and desire from Manning to make the run. Maybe the luck was getting to play mad Nate, the players who had him as a manager really seemed to want to win.

Only a year older and playing a league lower than Granite Xhaka, who plays a similar position. Let's hope Romeu has a similar effect on Saints as Xhaka has had on Sunderland.

So 5-1 away to Charlton, I feel revenge against Leicester for a 9-0 incoming. BTW Based on game time body language I really really feel AA is not a fan of Nathan Jones, he played like he would have done anything to win that game. Would love to here the inside view of Nathan Jones time at SFC

Recency bias, gone wild. That's a no way Jose from me.

This is so far off topic, but anyways I have to ask is that song actually about this guy? https://share.google/9JEfZq4n9QPx5CHI0 If any Bananarama members read Saintsweb please confirm or deny. If they confirm they were so far ahead of their time. If not it's a great movie which explains a lot about the shit Ukraine is now in and it's relationship with the USSR. + Who knew Wales had a real Spy!

This makes way too much sense, I fear you maybe on the wrong forum 😃. But I kind of agree, Eckert has made a few good decisions such as starting Robinson against QPR. Saints need incremental improvement, six points in two games is more than incremental, he can only play the fixtures he gets. I would actually say give him until the end of the season, with a if it goes to shit, get out clause, and see if the incremental improvement continues. It is difficult to see him making things worse. No one, but no one is going to get this team into the direct promotion spots. If they did it would be flushed so quick Derby would be the only happy team.

Very fair point, I stand corrected.

+ Would finally prove the lunatics have taken over the asylum

Depends how old you are and career apparently. Counting myself lucky? Told us in school if we sat on the radiators that would happen, not for me but who knows.
-
Correct formation and players based on form and player capabilitiy from what I have see this season. Could they score in a brothel much more of a open question. Let's fucking hope so.
-
Recency bias there maybe? THB was in the Championship team. Who knows if he had been the senior figure with Edwards and Quashie, things might have turned out differently. He wasn't fit at the beginning and didn't look the same player agreed. But sometimes "cometh the hour" etc, if THB had been the leader, he may have been more present in the games. Capt Jacks sidekick is lets be honest a tough role to excel at!

If Saints go back to the equivalent manager from the same era, would it be Koeman? Think that would be expensive, and probably not feasible until after the world cup, but I could get behind it, particularly if like last time he has to rebuild the squad. Based on current form I would take the guy Watford fired. Went and checked it was Ralph Hasenhüttl, not quite so keen to take him back. Maybe Saints could bring him back to help Still?
-
Was the initial problem ACL? Because if so many players have had the same problem. The repairs to the ACL uses Hamstring materials, making it weaker. If the medical staffed warned Still and/or Ross, then Still and/or Ross were indeed fucking jokers for starting consecutive games on his return. If they didn't it's beyond even that unfortunate sobriquet, and amounts to a term that may have serious consequences.

This happened; "Amongst the many terrible calls I could list the icing on the cake was the hideous tackle by Michael Keane on 18-year-old full débutante Jake Hesketh that forced the youngster off injured. As clear cut a red card challenge as you will see, not even adjudged a free kick by the league’s worst official." It's not without risk, so maybe not against Everton?
-
Surely if 18 year olds can break into Liverpool and Man City squads, it has to be an option Saints can explore. Apart from Arma Saints have zero goal threat up front, literally nothing to loose. Who knows might unearth the next Alan Shearer, although by the time he debuted I think the entire fan base knew he was going to make it.
-
No the correct answer is we have to play without a recognized CF, given the players we have Archer (MAYBE even Downs) will score plenty alongside Arma if they get the correct service. Slinging high balls from defence and the wings is not at all useful to those forwards. Play it on the ground as they make runs, they can and will score.

Came on for the last 10 against Japan for the USA. Porch is a pretty good judge of players, I think Damion will come good for Saints. Yes it was just a cameo but his hold up play and movement were good. IMO a better bet for the future than Stewart, have been wrong before though!
-
Was expecting BBD to be our first loanee on TV, but no Sugawara pipped him with Japan. Came for the last 20 minutes. Not surprisingly he didn't improve the defense, but they were 2-0 down so no surprise.

Saints have many players on loan. So many I kind of lost track.(Saints are the new Chelsea?) Might be more. Who are they, will they come back? Let's track them here and check in on their loan status and if we would want to see them back? Name. Team Contract Back Want Back Smallbone Millwall 1. Unlikely. Depends BBD. SHU. +2 Likely.
