If our game at Hartlepool is called off next weekend...
RedWillie replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I am told that allegedly the plane had an emergency landing with one wheel not operating....but a few players were mightily spooked by it..... -

No, just ask about the wheel incident....i blame that for why we lost -
one other thing...don't forget Barnard could still be detained at Her Majesty's Pleasure yet....................Isn't he back on bail in a couple of weeks??although I can see it dragging on still

NA on the solent interview said lambert had picked up an injury. However, he did go into detail of Holmes's which he said looked quite bad. He also said Richardson picked up a slight groin strain. He did not go into any detail about Lambert, all he said he had picked up an injury......

to be fair, Dave (former saints manager) did a great job with the youth team, kept us up in the prem then got the boot....
-
crowd 9280, reasonable considering
-
all saints now...4,4,2 as well 'excellent play that' says Dave, the former Saints Manager
-

intersting as I was in block 11 last night and two blokes had a go at eachother straight after kick off. we had to seperate them and tell them to behave....mongs

Fantastic 125 Celebration @ Today's Game!
RedWillie replied to EastleighSoulBoy's topic in The Saints
actually plenty of the kids near mewere able to keep their black ones and in any case what you going to do with a cheap red t shirt with Saints Foundation written on it??? -
play like that regularly and we'll win this league
-
they do a great job, my daughter was out there and loved every minute of it
-
nah..he's cack
-
I blame the plane wheel.....obviously affected the players confidence
-
£10 and £5 tickets plus give a load out to school kids and clubs. 3 home games in 7 days is a bit of a dilemma
-
If we sold only 7000 , why is the Chapel open then? Wonder how many Shrewsbury are bringing?
-
2 more going.... Wife ' I need to go to west quay tomorrow, if saints are at home why don't you go ??' I picked myself up off the floor and booked tickets for me and eldest
-
lets just do a proper job on them like we did to the Daggers and move on....
-
Do not under estimate either of our next two opponents. We need to do a professional job on both Daggers and Shrewsbury, the latter are going well in league 2. On paper we should win both....but this is Saints - where nothing is ever straight forward. !
-
This is Saints.....never too much problem to make it uncomfortable for ourselves !

Anyone catch Rod Liddle's article in the Sunday Times yesterday...sums up old potato head and the state of our football perfectly. here's a couple of taster paragraphs : 'The Rooney saga is British Football's problem in a microcosm, a drama about greed and a quite remarkable delusion - the notion that thare is anything in our national sport, at it's top level, that has a greater pull than pure, raw money'. 'this is the reality of thr premier league, and you kid yourself if you think it is anything different. It is perhaps why the England team fail to achieve when push comes to shove, too. The extraordinary sums of cash in the game have stripped from its top participants any vestige of commitment, loyalty and indeed responsibility. When you can be awarded £41.6m for being utterly useless for six months, there is no great incentive to be less useless in the future. You pick up your enormous pay packet, shrug off the criticisms and head of to the nearest nightclub, bar or brothel for a spot of roasting. You are inured to criticism because everyone tells you how brilliant you are, you are paid so much monry that you must be brilliant' I could go on but the article is absolutely spot on. 'fans kid themselves that the team for whom they are cheering are something more than a group of briefly hired mercenaries who owe allegiance to nothing whatsover other than their agents and their bank balances' Get hold of a copy if you can.

yeah, one of them was me.....i stopped twice for a P*S. Didn't half improve the environment. I don't normally stop on runs (although i had to in the London marathon this year) but yesterday I couldn't resist it.....
