  1. They have a lot of fresh legs on, as they often do. We're second to the tackles. Hang in there Saints!
  2. Oh necks. Crossbar! James has made a difference. C'Mon Saints!
  3. Sam a little lightweight, now we've Che and AA.
  4. Oh Sam... good position, but just didn't fancy it.
  5. Yay! A free kick to us. A few non fouls have been going Leeds' way
  6. A few worried looks out there. Need to get vocal and stay focused. A decent couple of mins of possession, getting away from a couple of hoofs.
  7. Whew! I thought that was in. C'mon Saints!
  8. COYR! There will be challenges, but we have shown how composed we can be throughout the season. 45 mins to keep showing our best.
  9. Leeds had a stronger start. But we absorbed that, and caught them with all that crisp passing Martin has got them to do all season. We were on top, but dropped back a bit when Brooks went off. Really well worked free kick nearly got us a second. I wonder had Adams been on, that he'd have had the player's instinct to put it in. Downes did well stopping a counter. Lots of strong performances. A couple of worrying yellows. But much, much rather be in our position than Leeds. Hopefully, they've faded a bit. Hopefully, we will be in a great position to take advantage if we're left with more gaps.
  10. Shame to see Brooks go off. He's been involved. I thought it would be Adams. Can only hope for some end product from Edozie.
  11. Today, they had a well drilled game plan that nullified Haaland and, just as importantly, his supply. In addition, they were compact enough to deal with not having the ball, while looking to spring forward when needed. Their manager feels they over achieved last season, while dealing with injuries in this. From what I've seen of them they have a number of players they can't wait to get shot of. Not many of those made the side today. If they switch yet again, there will be more transition both in learning the new system and in personnel. All while trying to shadow teams years ahead of them, who will have evolved by the time they get close to the first system they're trying to copy.
  12. Having just beaten one of the best possession teams around, it'll be interesting to see Wilcox chuck all that to become a pale imitation of the beaten team's philosophy.
  13. IIRC Hasenhuttl felt that once Tella had got himself into the side, something dropped off (ouch) in training. Tella had a few stop/starts like that, and that was it. More attitude than lack of talent, although Ralph would see one impacting the other. We certainly missed his ability, even after those opening games. We never really replaced him and lost that direct shooting from distance. Really pleased to see him doing so well. Champions League for him next year.
  14. I was wondering if Martin would be a shout out for the England job after the Euros. A blistering attacking line up of Foden, Kane, Saka, Bellingham... ... just waiting for it to be shuttled across the defence one more time before getting passed across the midfield as well... 🙂
  15. Like the others, the conflict is how to answer the question without incriminating themselves. They have all been well briefed, not just for this inquiry, but across the years of holding the line against scrutiny. Had any one of them had a genuine conflict regarding truth, the victims wouldn't be where they are today. And, if any of them had genuine conflicts, being in careers where cover ups are operationally normal practice would be untenable. She can profess to have any beliefs she likes. But they've had no bearing on any of her actions. Like the others, guilt is just a show to put on when they've been forced to appear in public.
