Who needs data analytics and black boxes, when you have The Transfer Tombola? 😊
-
It will be odd not finding out we've been promoted, until most of the way through the fixture of next season. 😊
-
It's not all football skills, of course. His rise to superstardom, through a stint with us, can be helped by having a personable image. I'm looking forward to hearing him in interviews. A tete-a-tete with a local journalist?

Table looking good, with another 3 points on the board.

A few late chance, but for no more than consolation at this stage (hopefully there wasn't an earlier delay and 20mins of additional time)

And a third!

Thanks. So much better than our club's info.

Yes! Good stuff!

A cunning counter attacking ploy! (hopefully)

Looking forward to seeing him do well, impress other clubs, receive a big transfer fee from a top 4 club for him that fulfils our and his plans, and acts as yet another example of our appeal to other potential signings. Um... assuming he does sign. 😊

I noticed Darren Kenton in that surprisingly decent, and clearly deceptive, squad line up. Another one I thought would be a bargain (got him on a free maybe). Maybe part of the lingering disappointment, is the number of these players I agreed with us getting. 😊

Yeah, the waves of capitulation sweeping through the team in various matches is how I remember that season. Prutton was one of a number of players you realised wouldn't stand up and be counted, which was really disappointing to see. I was really pleased when we signed him. He was one of a number of highly rated Forest players at the time. I thought Fox did fine, helping us get to a level where his ability had reached its limit and we had move on. No shame at all in that. And yeah, he showed more spirit than most of that relegation squad combined.

At 26, and with us looking for resale value in our aquisitions, we'd have to be getting a good deal to take him. That's not really what Levy's known for. Even if we got a decent deal, with him being contracted until 2023 (or 2024 in some headlines, our scouts must think there's a lot of untapped potential there if we were to go for him.

What does it say about the riches of the Premier League owners, when we're being outbid for clubs rather than players now. 🙂

I don't expect massive changes this summer. While we may be able to buy before getting an outgoing transfer over the line, I doubt that it would apply to lots of transfers. We're not likely to be bringing in 5 players before selling 1 on. On the plus side, it means that we won't get stuck with a large suqad, draining resources. And that bit of flexibility we do have means we won't miss out on key choices, while waiting for an outgoing deal to be finalised.
