At least that gives us a bit of hope we'll get the whole end...still think they'll find a way round it somehow. Brighton/skates can't be too far behind our fixture for potential so if it's seen as a necessity to give over all the Milton end for them for security then let's hope the same applies in December.

Ikea have started selling a new self-assembly bed just for lesbians. No screws, all tongue and groove.

Thank God, thought you were banned again...just organising another flag...

...just as they did in their 'Golden Era' when they got a few big gates, thousands of locally based servicemen allowed in free. And despite their success during that period they NEVER filled fartton, their best ever attendance was still 10,000 short of capacity. In 1987, when the island dwellers were all excited about finally making it back to the top flight and the "sleeping giant" was awake, and they were gonna "show the world what a massive club" they were (you really sucked up Dinenage's bullsh*te) it didn't work out did it? Just more bluster. The capacity of our 2 grounds was flipped back then similarly to what it is today but in their favour and despite their superior capacity and eagerly anticipated season playing the big boys, both the bluefew and us averaged around 17,000...fartton was little more than half full.

Could an ex-Brizzol Rover go on to play for Brizzol City...part-ex for Maynard? I'll hold on to the thought it's probably the usual little iffy rumour/chinese whisper that's growing as it goes.

de ridder, de rudder they should call Glasgow-Saint de riddler...he was taking the p*ss George.

Then your wish is granted...ish (Red trim instead of green)

Really? Looks quite rural from these shots. Too 'out-of-town' for my liking. Probably more to do with fans in it rather than the stadium in this case.
-
I agree they'd probably tighten up on it if that scenario had come about but not once did I tear it out in front of a steward last season and got in every time without question - many just tear it out while queueing and with a few minutes to kick-off they're just eager to get everyone in I guess.
-
Of course you are right, blue does not predominantly belong on a Saints shirt but...traditionally Southampton had navy blue shorts, long before the colour was ever associated with the island-dwellers down the road. In fact p*rtsmyth's traditional colours were 'salmon' pink (sounds fishy but true...and they're original nickname was, appropriately, 'the shrimps'). I can only accept it when as a little bit of trim to compliment the yellow. Have a look at Blackburn's away shirt and I reckon that wont be far from what we'll have.

Yeah just checked mine and that's correct, mine starts at match 9 with none ripped out. Luckily for the club otherwise you'd have some who got a full one 1-23 ripping out the first 8 vouchers, flogging them to mates and then claiming a new ST. We could have got 40,000ish against Leeds!! I can see big queues at the box office at Saturday's tournament with fans trying to get them replaced. Just getting mates to check theirs.

...particularly as he's said..."I could spend a year in the Championship and, though this might sound negative, I could get injured and that opportunity might be lost" How hard will he try if he stays? If his performance drops then so will his price tag, best to get the inevitable sorted soon imo.

"When the Prem bus comes along you have got to jump on it!" You can just see the influence Nigel Adkins has had on his career. Once they sell Fabregas they'll be back with an improved offer and that will be that. Sooner rather than later now will be best.

I would imagine the date chosen for the march (a couple of hours before kick-off at fartton) was to coincide with the visit of Chelsea to the town. As they have strong links to extreme rightwing groups, it would have been a great opportunity to swell numbers, probably doubled.
-
This is exactly how it came across, we know different of course but others not connected to Southampton will probably now be seeing it that way. Release the hounds Don Cortese.
-
It's "quality over quantity" dontcha know? And when all those £30k-per-week Premiership loanees start piling in in a few weeks all will be fine.

I would have thought Dune was taking the p*ss...but, if what I saw was genuine, black 'aap' on a red and white stripe home, red 'aap' on yellow away.

C4's Dispatches (Monday 18th July, 8pm) will be worth a watch. 'How to Buy a Football Club', an undercover investigation into iffy goings-on in the game. Would be nice to think they've uncovered some new evidence of dodgy owners...on portsea island, fingers crossed...probably in light of Brum Chairman Carson Yeung's money laundering charges in Hong Kong. Should be interesting.

Good work JustMike. -
Tbf the mush who put them up isn't saying this is the kits, it's just a template mock-up he's done as an idea. Both do look smart tho...

Can see it happening... ...?

http://thesaintsfc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=6658&page=2 Just stumbled across this Saints site and saw they've got their own kit thread going. Take a look at the home shirt mock-up in the second to last post...could that be close with a couple of alterations? Someone on here mentioned there was black on the top of the sleeves, if that red bit in the mock-up was changed to black (and maybe the collar) then maybe... All yellow for the away with blue shoulders?
-
I belive this is close to the truth. Financially it would make far more sense to sell fewer STs at this level with large numbers paying full 'on-the-day' prices (if all goes to plan and we're winning most weeks, bit of a gamble) to watch a team pushing for the Prem. And then when/if we get there, thousands of new ST applications at the new, full (Prem League level) prices clamouring for seats. Loadsamoney.
-
They have, very good but not that surprising really. Promotion, new stadium and adult ST prices of £395 for anyone (whether renewing or new customers) understandably proved very attractive. Shame the ground is a bit out in the wilderness.

...I can't wait to see the Northam all doing it together, complete with actions...particularly the last bit..."knees bend, arms stretch, rah-rah-rah". A sight to behold.
