Our scouts can’t half spot a hidden gem. Diallo was brilliant yesterday, winning everything and driving the ball forward. Diallo + Salisu both looking like the real deal. if we can start scoring consistently I’m feeling pretty optimistic about the future

No match at this season is a 'must win'. Everyone knows how 3 points will be a big lift, but you can't be throwing around statements like 'must win' eight matches into the season. There are no consequences as a result of this match.

So you're questioning why Ralph didn't make Tino wait for a chance...when he's clearly one of our best performing players so far this season? Tino is a gem, and if you're good enough, you should play. Failing to understand why this is the issue you're having.

I don't think the strikers are the problem, its the poor service from the number 10's. Our strikers know where the goal is, but without clear-cut chances or decent service, we're relying on 'moments of magic'. Having Stu back is a big step forward, but we need more from Djenepo and Redmond on the opposite flank

If Broja scores again tonight then surely he should start against Leeds to build on his momentum. With that being said, he'll probably start anyway with Che injured

Whether you like it or not, McCarthy has not been too bad so far this season... Would make sense to let Forster go given his age and high wages...Johnstone COULD be a decent replacement, but I do think better keepers will be out there. I'm sure the scouting team have some young keepers lined up if Johnstone isn't the man Should be more concerned about adding another winger who can make things happen. We've missed Stu dearly and need a player of his quality on the opposite side

From the goals I've seen him score for Albania and his performances so far this season, he's more than capable of creating his own chances. He's exactly what we've been missing since Ings left...that little moment of magic that can win a match

Considering Newcastle are currently shite, it will take them at least 2/3 transfer windows to become a decent side.

Same old Saints fan, always negative... Try and cheer up a bit, you'll feel better for it

I still believe we shouldn't hit the panic button just yet... There's no doubt the next 5 matches are all winnable games. If we can gather some points, momentum, and get some confidence flowing through the strikers, then I do believe it will be a turning point. Our defence looks much better than last season, and will continue to improve. McCarthy seems to have found some form. With Stu back we will have some much needed quality in the final third. And we aren't relying on one striker, we've got 3 good strikers...they will each find form at different points in the season. There's not much point fretting until after the International Break. We need a win against Leeds and/or Burnley, and then pick up some results at Watford and Norwich...we'll be fine

It’s a big couple of weeks for Ralph on the training ground, and hopefully some big performances over the next five games. it was always going to be a difficult start to the season, but we’ve picked up big results against Man Utd and Man City… sure, we haven’t won a game yet, but a few results in the next few weeks makes our start look very, VERY different, and much more positive
-
It’s always a meltdown every week… we drew with Man Utd, away at Man City, and were level away at Chelsea until the red card. of course the big test is to beat the teams around us, but we’ve not been dreadful. A couple of wins and the Ralph out brigade will be back in their box.

All of the negative comments about the Chelsea game are boring…one of the positives seems to be Alex McCarthy finding some of his old form 🙌🏼 Made some terrific saves today…I know 99% of fans have given up on him but he’s been playing pretty well lately to be honest
-
Ralph never once said Lyanco was joining the club to be the number 1 centre back...he's another project signing, similar to when Salisu just signed.
-
With Stephens out it looks like Simeu will be in-and-around the first team for the next few months...hope he gets a game or two!
-
You have to remember he's only been in the country for a few weeks, doesn't speak any English, and has never played a match in English Football before. Better for him to make these mistakes in a Cup game than in the Premier League! Remember how long it took Salisu to settle in and find his feet? Give him some time. Semmens and Co did pretty well recruiting Tino, Broja, Perraud, Armstrong...lets not question them or Lyanco off the back of one performance.
